Boating
Starting point:Boat landing
Notice:Boat landing is 4 Km (Approx.) away from Aanavachal parking area. Visitors have to travel this 4 Km by Periyar Tiger Reserve's
buses reach boat landing area from Anavachal Parking Area. Hence, kindly report at our parking area ticket counter 1 hour prior to the
commencement of the program and Periyar Tiger Reserve is not liable for any dispute regarding not getting Boating Tickets if the visitors
are not reaching on time. It's mandatory to take entry and shuttle bus charges to reach the boat landing.

Terms & Conditions

The park management will ensure that the following do’s and don’ts shall be followed by all visitors and pilgrims to PTR.

* If you have any serious medical issues, kindly refrain yourself from engaging in any of our trekking & camping programmes
* Animals sightings are a matter of chance, be Patient
* Please do not litter the surroundings
* Treat the Tiger Reserve Area/wilderness area with respect.
* Give way to animals first
* Appreciate the colour and sounds of nature.
* Dress in colours that blend with the natural environment.
* Take pictures, but without disturbing wildlife.
* Respect local customs.
* Keep a reasonable distance from wild animals, and do not provoke them.
* Dispose waste responsibly: carry back all non-biodegradable litter, and leave campsites litter-free before departing.
* When in a vehicle, remember wild animals have right of way.
* Keep to the speed limit, don’t use the horn, and do not startle animals.
* Do not talk loudly or play loud music.
* Do not get out of the vehicle or approach wild animals.
* Do not approach animals closer than 15 m or disturb them while they are resting.
* Do not take away flora and fauna in the form of cuttings, seeds or roots.
* Do not feed wild animals.
* Do not stop the vehicle not more than 5 minutes in the reserve
* Do not light fires, or smoke inside protected areas. Accidental forest fires cause irreparable damage.
* Carrying guns, fire arms, inflammable materials are strictly prohibited, as per the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and is
punishable by law.
* Obey the instructions of staff and guides.
* For Bus Safari :The program requires a minimum of 10 participants; if there are fewer than ten participants on the program date, money will be
refunded, and the program will not take place.
* For Boating Program Visitors should report at the ticket counter of Anavachal Parking area 1 hour prior to the commencement of the boating and
Report at Boat Landing area 30 minutes before the commencement of the boating program.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking/ Reservation policy:
* In normal course all bookings are to be made in Online mode, only through the website www.periyartigereserve.org.
* PTCF or Periyar Tiger Conservation Foundation (PTCF) does NOT operate any other online booking website and we take NO responsibility for
losses suffered by guests who made bookings through any other website or travel agent.
* Payments have to be made in-full at the time of booking.
* Booking/Reservations are Non-Transferable.
* Rescheduling and Cancellations will be allowed only as per our Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy.
* Check-in time and Check-out Times are mentioned in the program scheduled of each program and shall be strictly adhered to.
* Activities included in the programs are subject to the terms and conditions of each Program.
* During check-in, all guests who are Foreign Nationals are required to present their Original Passports with valid Visas. Details of Foreign
Nationals availing our services shall be shared with Police authorities as required by law.
* Payment Gateway charges, Check-post entry charges, Taxes and Cess (as applicable by legislation) will be levied from the guests, the amount of
the same will be displayed during online booking.
* During check-in, all guests who are Indian Nationals have to mandatorily produce any one of the below mentioned Government issued
Identification Documents in Original.

4. Aadhaar Card

Rescheduling/ Cancellation Policy:

* In case we are forced to cancel OR modify your Booking/Reservation due to natural calamities, acts of god, civil unrest, war, diseases, health risk,
epidemics, Left Wing Extremism OR Terrorist activities OR its consequences, Government ordered lockdowns OR travel restrictions declared by
the Government, Government Restriction on Tourism Activities in the Reserve and other unforeseeable events beyond our control, it will NOT be
treated as a cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve. In this case, you could choose to shift over to a mutually agreed new date at no extra cost OR
avail a refund with minimum cancellation charges (lowest slab will apply).
* We reserve the right to cancel or modify Bookings/Reservations where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent OR unlawful activity OR
has knowingly furnished incorrect information OR under other circumstances where it appears that the reservation contains OR has resulted from a
mistake or error.
* We reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings under unforeseen circumstances within our control where we need to close down the facility for
repairs or for catering to VIP visits. Under such circumstances, it shall be treated as Cancellation by Periyar Tiger Reserve and the guest shall be
refunded in full.
* Cancellation Requests shall be entertained ONLY through our website.
* In case the guest fails to show up for Booking/Reservations, no refund or rescheduling will be applicable. No further communication regarding
this shall be entertained or replied to.
* Bookings/Reservations once made cannot be modified or cancelled partially.
* Any refund will take at least 20 days to process, subject to approval of the same.
* Payment Gateway processing charges will not be refunded.
* Guests can cancel their bookings Online and the following cancellation charges will be levied.

Our Cancellation Policy :

* Before 30 days from the commencement of the programme : 100%
* 20 to 30 days prior commencement of the programme : 50%
* 2 to 20 days prior to commencement: 25%
* Less than 2 days [48 hours] and after commencement of the programme : No Refund
