Job Safety Analysis (JSA) – Installation and Removal of Polycarbonate Sheet & Mesh Guard

3 Installation of temporary lifeline 1. Fall of men For North Light Bays:

belt / retractable fall arrestor in the truss / lattices
and after installation anchored in the temporary
lifeline

For A Type Roofs:

1b. Installation of L-angle or Clamp at the corner


edge of roof sheet & tying the temporary lifeline
using boom lift. Safety belt will be anchored in the
boom lift cage.

1c. Work at height authorized person only allowed


to carry out the activity on roof

1d. Work at height permit to be obtained before


start of work

1e. Only competent person approved safety belt


will be used

1f. Walking over the translucent sheet is restricted

4 Lifting and Lowering of materials 1. Fall of Men 1a. Safety belt / Retractable fall arrestor will be

truss by Movable type aluminum stepped ladder
or Tower Ladder or Boom lift as per site condition.

2c. Mesh guard / polycarbonate sheet will be


shifted to roof by removing the north light glass
and taken inside. Same method is followed for
lowering the existing mesh guard and
polycarbonate sheet.

2d. Work area will be barricaded and access


restricted

2e. Other portable equipment’s Drilling machine,


fastening tools and water can’s will be shifted to
roof / lowered from roof using PP rope.

3. Heat stroke 3a. Roof work to be avoided


between 12.00 Hrs. to 14.00 Hrs.
during summer period (April & May)

3b. Drinking water to be made


available in the work area

4. Adverse weather 4a. Work will be stopped during wind/ rain/ drizzle
condition
5 Installation / Removal of mesh 1. Fall of person from 1a. By anchoring in lifeline, as per site condition,

followed (No cuts in wire, No insulation joints)

3b. Portable electrical hand tools are double


insulated type and will be used after getting safety
stickering from AL maintenance team

I have understood all the above-given precautions and undertake to adhere to all of these without fail
before, during, and on completion of the stated work. All concerned persons have been explained about
the above precautions. I will be present at the job site till the work is completed.
