Dear Parents,

"Real cooking is more about following your heart than following recipes." Cooking with kids is not just
about ingredients, recipes, and cooking. It's about harnessing imagination, empowerment, and
creativity."

SNIS will be celebrating the International Food Festival for students of Grades 1 to 12 on 23rd
November 2024 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. We cordially invite students along with their parents to
participate in this vibrant celebration of global cuisine.

Important Details for the International Food Festival:

• Each student, along with their parents, is requested to prepare dishes representing the country
assigned to them. We encourage you to cook homemade dishes together with your child to
foster collaboration, learning, and quality family time.

• Table Setup:

o Please include the flag of the assigned country printed in color on an A4 size sheet.
o A recipe handout with clear steps for preparation.
o Table layout should include a tablecloth, tissue paper, flower vase, spoons, forks, plates,
etc.
• Attire: Students should wear an apron, gloves, and a chef hat while serving their dishes.

Judging Criteria: The dishes will be judged based on the following factors:

1. Creativity
2. Health-conscious ingredients
3. Taste of the food
4. Presentation of the food (including the table layout and menu card)
5. The story behind the recipe (e.g., a family tradition or memory, Grandma's recipe, etc.)
