Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for Project Positions as per the details given below,
for research project, under the principal investigator Dr. Suman M, Department of Electrical and
Electronics Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-15, Tamil Nadu.
1. Title of the Project: Development of Unintentional Islanding Protection Scheme with Low
Voltage & Frequency Ride Through Capability
2. Funding Agency for the Project: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)
3. Project Positions and Number: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 1
4. Qualifications: B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or any other
relevant branch + M.E./M.Tech. in Power System or Power Electronics or any other relevant
specialization + GATE Exam Qualified at least once
5. Emoluments (per month): Rs. 37,000 + HRA (As per norms)
6. Duration: From 1st or 2nd week of December 2024 to 16th March 2025
7. Walk in Interview Date: 26.11.2024, Reporting Time: 8.30 am, Venue: EEE Department
8. Job Description:
a. To develop a methodology to detect the unintentional islanding formation based on
signal processing techniques.
b. To develop the prototype for detecting the unintentional islanding formation.
c. To support in processing the project related files.
Essential:
1) The candidate should be good in doing simulations in MATLAB/PSCAD.
2) The candidate should be good in modelling the microgrid.
9. Age Limit: Should be less than 35 Years as on 26.11.2024. (SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates
will get relaxation as per Govt. of India Rules.)

Instructions:
A. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the
position they intend to apply.

C. Application should be furnished only in the prescribed format and should be brought at the
time of interview.
D. Candidates shall bring the original certificates of educational certificates, experience
certificates (if any), category certificates (if any) and copy of GATE score card at the time of
interview for verification and also bring one set of attested copies of the same.

E. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
F. The interview will be held at Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department on
26.11.2024 at 9 am.
