Proposed Syllabus for Spoken English Program (Classes 5-10) – By Vibha Mishra

Objective:
To develop Hindi-speaking students' proficiency in spoken English through an intensive and
immersive program focusing on fluency, pronunciation, confidence, and practical usage.

Program Overview

• Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance) if getting 4 classes per week.


• Focus:
o 75% spoken practice
o 20% written exercises (to reinforce spoken skills)
o 5% theoretical knowledge (grammar essentials and vocabulary building)
• Methodology:
o Task-based learning
o Role-plays and real-life scenarios
o Audio-visual aids
o Regular testing and feedback

Syllabus Breakdown

Month 1: Laying the Foundation


Topics:

1. Basic English Greetings and Daily Conversations


2. Introduction to Sentence Formation (Subject-Verb-Object structure)
