Job Description- Windows-System Administrator

Role &Responsibilities:

1. Working Experience on experience on installation, configuration and troubleshooting Windows


Server 2012R2 ~ 2022.

2. Working Experience on installation configuration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and
Group Policy (GP).
3. Working Experience on AD User management /access management including role group,
permission group, OU management, group policy management.
4. Configuring and troubleshooting of Windows based failover clusters.
5. Strong exposer on windows server OS, RDP troubleshooting.
6. Windows servers security patching for the vulnerabilities detected and troubleshooting if
problems encountered before/after the patch installations.
7. Management of Windows server’s service account, role group, permission group.
8. Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems across various
versions.
9. Scripting and Automation: Utilizing scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) to automate routine
tasks, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency in managing Windows systems.
10. Generating and presenting reports on system performance, security vulnerabilities, and
compliance status.
11. Collaborating with cross-functional teams for project planning, implementation, and
troubleshooting. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators.
12. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related
to Windows servers, applications, networking, and hardware. This might involve analyzing logs,
utilizing diagnostic tools, and applying solutions.
13. Responsible for Windows Servers Infrastructure management for multiple customers.
14. Collaboration and Support: Collaborating with other teams or departments to support various
projects, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support.
15. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and testing disaster recovery plans to
ensure data protection and business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.
16. Vendor Management: Collaborating with vendors for product support, troubleshooting, and
acquiring necessary resources or services.
17. Ability to architect, build, maintain, and enhance our current managed service offerings and
infrastructure.

Responsibilities: VMware

1. VMware virtual environment experiences on Server appliance VCSA & ESXi host 6. x ~ 7. x
installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrade, and patching.
2. Working experience on Windows 2012 ~ 2022 physical & virtual server with install & configures,
troubleshooting, upgrade, and patching.
3. Experience in HP, Lenovo, and CISCO ILO firmware updates.
4. Experience working in a regulated environment with a good understanding of qualification
protocols for new services and service updates (i.e., security patches, etc.)
5. Implemented PowerShell automation script for VMware Hardware version and tools upgrade on
bulk VMs, server shutdown, New VM build, and MS Failover cluster on remote servers.
6. Preparation to implement quarterly patches of the VMware ESXi host by creating baselines from
VMware update manager (VUM)/Lifecycle management and in case required manually
download bundle and patch host and making all host compliance.
7. Managing SAN storage and presenting LUNs at VCenter, Datacenter, or cluster level.
8. Managing VM Template with compliance settings and upgrading with the latest patches.
9. Remediate/mitigate vulnerabilities by scheduling change requests at the ESXi host as well.
10. Strong knowledge of configuring standard vSwitch / distributed vSwitch at Host, VCenter.
11. Configure & troubleshoot vMotion, Storage vMotion, Storage expansion, etc.
12. Generate CSR to order bulk requests for ESXi host SSL certificate and renew same.
13. Good working knowledge of PowerCLI commands and scripts.
14. Strong knowledge of PowerShell Script to create and delete snapshots on remote VMs before
patching and VMware tools.
15. Implemented PowerShell automation script to create bulk DHCP scopes with IP range, DNS,
router, and reservation address on remote Windows servers / VMs.
16. Planning and implementing schedule change requests with the detailed summary sheet to
upgrade ESXi host OS & patching. Also, knowledge of troubleshooting manually (VUM).
17. Troubleshooting, analyzing, and reporting product errors, failures, or malfunctions to
management.
18. Performing diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
19. Deploying VMs through templates and Cloning Virtual Machines.
20. Experience in new physical server builds or upgrades.
21. Troubleshooting issues related to Virtual Machine VMotion, snapshots.
22. Create and Manage VMware cluster with HA and DRS.
23. Monitor and manage the performance of ESXi servers and Virtual Machines.
24. Virtual center server for HA, DRS, VMotion, and Storage VMotion.
25. Good oral and written communication skills.
