Government should invest in teaching science subjects rather than other subjects for country

development and progress. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is assumed by a number of individuals that the government should allocate more funds for teaching
science subjects rather than other ones areas of study in order to accelerate the development and
progress of the a country. While I understand the rationale behind this priority, I still subscribe to the
statement that the government should invest equivalently in teaching both science subjects and others
so as to develop the country.

To commence with, the school of thought that increasing the investment on in science subjects rather
than others is not baseless. It is hard to deny that the prosperity of a nation is inextricably intertwined
with the development of cutting-edge technology in order to boost productivity, which essentially
requires expertise in science as well as science subjects. To specify, without the calculation of math or
experiments of physics, which relate to science fields, it might be arduous to achieve any breakthroughs
or innovations in the field of technology. As a result, by allocating more budgets more for STEM
disciplines, a large number of individuals are better equipped to thrive in a modern technological
landscape. This will help laborers to make substantial contributions to the development of technology by
coming up with more innovative advancements or ameliorating the productivity thanks to automatic
gadgets, ultimately translating into a more thriving economy. However, this view might undermine the
crucial role of other subjects, especially social disciplines such as literature, history and anthropology.
Those subjects might be the major contributor to the well-being of society, which is also the catalyst for
the development and progress of one nation. (Đoạn này em mang xuống viết ở body 2 nha, khỏi viết

However, I concur with the statement that investment should be made equally by the government in
both science and other subjects such as the aforementioned ones. To be specific, those social disciplines
can help the individuals to bolster essential characteristics that will play a paramount role in the well-
being of the community. For example, literature could foster empathy and compassion through
meaningful passages in books, potentially making creating a comfortable and friendly environment for
individuals to live and dedicate their time and efforts to the country. This, therefore, could drive the
progress in the same manner with science areas of subject, justifying equal funding.

In conclusion, with the aforementioned justifications, it is my conviction that the government should,
instead of prioritizing the science subjects, invest equally for in (sơ hở cái invest đi với giới từ khác :)))
both disciplines.

There is a common belief that the government should prioritize funding for science subjects over other
areas of study to accelerate national development and progress. While I understand the logic behind this
perspective, I strongly believe that the government should invest equally in both science and other
disciplines to foster a well-rounded development of the country.

To begin with, the argument for increasing investment in science subjects is not without merit. The
prosperity of a nation is often closely linked to advancements in technology, which are largely driven by
expertise in science and related fields. For instance, without the precise calculations in mathematics or
the experimental methods in physics—both integral parts of the STEM curriculum—achieving
breakthroughs in technology would be extremely challenging. By allocating more resources to STEM
education, a greater number of individuals would be better equipped to thrive in a modern, technology-
driven economy. This would allow the workforce to contribute significantly to technological
advancements, leading to increased productivity and, ultimately, a stronger economy.

However, focusing exclusively on science subjects overlooks the essential role that other disciplines,
particularly the social sciences and humanities, play in national development. Subjects such as literature,
history, and anthropology are crucial for the well-being of society, which is a fundamental aspect of a
nation's progress. For example, history teaches us the lessons of the past, helping to avoid repeating
mistakes and fostering a sense of national identity. Literature, on the other hand, promotes empathy and
understanding by exposing readers to diverse perspectives and experiences. These qualities are vital for
creating a cohesive and compassionate society where individuals are motivated to contribute positively
to their community and country. By investing equally in these subjects, the government ensures a more
holistic development that addresses both the technological and societal needs of the country.

In conclusion, while the importance of science subjects in driving technological and economic progress
cannot be overstated, it is equally important for the government to invest in other disciplines. A
balanced approach to education funding will not only foster innovation but also ensure the social well-
being and cultural richness that are essential for a nation's long-term development.

Weddings are getting bigger and more expensive. What is the reason for this? Is it a positive or
negative development?

In the fast-paced world, the rising costs and scale of weddings are being highlighted. This phenomenon
could stem from numerous financial and cultural factors and I concur with the statement that this trend
is beneficial.

One of the prominent reasons behind this phenomenon is the increase in disposable income of couples,
which is the catalyst for increasing expenditure on weddings. To specify, on account of a thriving
economy and rising standards of living, they are capable of allocating/alloting/distributing/earmarking
more money to lavish weddings. To illustrate, in the past, in Vietnam where I come from, with humble
salaries, couples often opted to celebrate in a modest/ unassuming restaurant or even at home in order
to alleviate financial burden. However, these days, with well-paid salaries by virtue of an accelerating
economy, they are inclined to celebrate weddings in a five-star palace, which offers more lavish services
and infrastructures/facilities. Furthermore, another justification for this phenomenon is the cultural
expectations. To be specific, in some societies, the expectations to host a large wedding is overwhelming
as an elaborate celebration may reflect one’s social status and wealth, which perpetuates the rising costs
and scale of weddings.

Given these aforementioned driving forces behind this trend, I believe that this trend toward lavish
weddings is beneficial for the country. It is hard to deny that the increasing number of extravagant
weddings might offer ample opportunities for unemployed individuals. They will likely land stable and
lucrative jobs as wedding planners or caterers. As a result, this could partially curb the unemployment
rate of the nation. Moreover, with an elaborate wedding and its larger capacity to accommodate more
guests , would-be newlyweds tend to can have lasting memories about of this experience, which is a
significant milestone in their lives.

In conclusion, the trend toward costly and grand weddings can be attributed to financial and cultural
factors and with the aforementioned reasons, this phenomenon can yield positive effects for both
country and couples
In some parts of the world traditional festivals and celebrations have disappeared or are
disappearing. What problems is this causing? What measures could be taken to counter this situation?

In this ever-changing world, even long-lasting traditions and value of a culture might fall into oblivion,
which can undermine a whole society’s development. This essay will discuss the hazards of this vanishing
presence of traditional festivals and celebrations and propose some practical remedies to minimise the
potential damage of this cultural erosion.

One of the primary issues arising from this trend is the loss of cultural identity, since traditional festivals
often serve as significant repositories of a community’ history, customs and value. As these celebrations
fade away, the younger generation would be distant and ill-informed of their cultural roots and deprived
of invaluable opportunities to gain insights about their cultural heritage. Furthermore, with the
expansion of globalised celebrations such as Christmas or Thanksgiving, unique local traditions might be
overshadowed, which can lead to cultural homogeneity. In terms of economic growth, the deterioration
of traditional celebrations can heavily impact both local economy and tourism sectors. Because This can
be attributed to the fact that culture is considered a form of soft power that can leverage a nation's
advantages position on the world stage. For instance, South Korea has successfully exported its music,
movies, culinary and beauty standards, and achieved outstanding recognition. With the disappearance
of traditional culture, such reputation is degraded, making leading to the loss of the opportunities to
gain economic benefits are lost, ultimately affecting the businesses and livelihoods that depend on
tourist revenue.

To address this concern, the government should be the one initiating changes to revitalising these
increasingly obscure traditions and value, as they have ample resources and can make profound impacts
compared to individuals. For example, authorities could fund organisations that aim to preserve and
popularise traditional festivals and celebrations. With their professional expertise and creativity, these
organisations can turn forgotten customs into appealing seasonal or annual activities for people to enjoy.
A further step to take could be incorporating cultural elements into people's daily lives through
entertainment and social media by publishing historical documentaries or films. Since movies, music and
social networks are an indispensable part of life nowadays; thus, constant exposure to time-honored
national values could raise attention to overlooked cultural practices.

In conclusion, letting these cultural characteristics to be on the verge of extinction can lead to a country’s
culture erosion and economic decline. However, collective efforts from both the government and
individuals can address this problem through innovative cultural reforms and promotion.
