MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

This agreement is made and executed by:

The COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY-


GENERAL SANTOS with principal address at Brgy. Fatima, General Santos City, represented
herein by EDWARD R. LAPONG - PhD in his capacity as College Dean herein referred to as
the FIRST PARTY.

And

The CHAROEN POKPHAND FOODS PHILIPPINES CORPORATION with


principal address at Gensan Feemill Polomolok, South Cotabato represented herein by MR.
MONTRI BUMBAT- ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT-CHAROEN POKPHAND FOOD
PHIL. CORP. as Administrator herein referred to as the SECOND PARTY.

WITNESSESTH THAT:

WHEREAS, the FIRST PARTY is implementing an On-the Job Training Program


(Work Experience) during summer for a minimum of 320 hours of its Bachelor of Science in
Agriculture major in Animal Science curriculum.

WHEREAS, in the implementation of the said program the FIRST PARTY envisions its
students to be given the opportunity for exposure to actual practices in existing agricultural
establishments and in return the student-trainees can be a potential source for the manpower
needs of the SECOND PARTY;

WHEREAS, the SECOND PARTY, in partnership of the government in nation-


building, intends to be instrumental in achieving the above objectives;

WHEREAS, among the opportunities/services/assistance, the SECOND PARTY could


provide actual training to students to reinforce their classroom instruction being provided by the
FIRST PARTY;

NOW THEREFORE, the parties herein hereby agree to the following terms and
conditions:

I. FIRST PARTY OBLIGATIONS:


1. The FIRST PARTY shall be responsible in assigning or recommending student-trainees to
the SECOND PARTY;

2. The FIRST PARTY shall be responsible for the accomplishment and provision of all
requirements related to the On-the –Job Training Program in coordination with the SECOND
PARTY;

3. The FIRST PARTY has the right to pull out the student-trainees from the SECOND
PARTY when it perceives that the training received by the students do not suit the respective
course curriculum;

4. The FIRST PARTY shall also be responsible for the monitoring of the student-trainees
during the entire summer training period consisting a minimum of 320 hours.

II. SECOND PARTY OBLIGATIONS

1. The SECOND PARTY shall provide diverse training to various agricultural project operations
in the company suitable to the respective course curriculum of the student-trainees for a
minimum of 320 hours during the summer term;

2. The SECOND PARTY shall supervise and evaluate the performance of the student-trainees
and submit the said performance evaluation to the FIRST PARTY;

3. The SECOND PARTY has the right to terminate student-trainees when it perceives them to
be exhibiting unacceptable behavior/action not in accordance with the policies and
regulations of the SECOND PARTY;

III. AMENDMENTS AND EFFECTIVITY

1. This Memorandum of Agreement maybe modified or revised through formal written


agreement between the COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, MINDANAO STATE
UNIVERSITY-General Santos and the CHAROEN POKPHAND FOODS PHILIPPINES
CORPORATION with principal address at Gensan Feemill Polomolok, South Cotabato
citing therein the clauses to be revised and modified and the corresponding agreed
amendments;

2. This Memorandum of Agreement shall take effect immediately after all the parties hereto have
affixed their signatures and shall continue to be in force unless earlier revoked by competent
authority;

3. To form part of this Memorandum of Agreement is the waiver, and other pertinent papers
related to the On-the Job Training Program to be submitted to the SECOND PARTY.

In witness hereof, we have here to set our hands this JULY day of 3, 2023 in the City of
General Santos, Philippines.
