School-Based Session Guide
Group Discussion Guide
The discussion guide is designed to help members conduct their group discussions
effectively, ensuring a structured flow of conversation.
Organize the teachers participating in the Master Class program into groups of 5 to 8
members each or adjust the group sizes according to the total number of participants.
Provide each group with copies of the discussion questions outlined in the section titled
“Guide Questions for Insight-Sharing Session.”
Encourage the teachers to share their responses to each question, build on each other's
ideas, and ask questions, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance and deepen
their understanding.
Each group should appoint a note-taker to record insights and agreements, along with a
spokesperson to present their findings during the plenary session.
You can utilize the various methods outlined in the section titled "Suggested Approaches."

Plenary Sharing & Feedback Giving
The Plenary Sharing & Feedback Giving was designed to promote open communication and
collaboration by making it easy to gain insights from a wide range of perspectives.
The LAC facilitator will manage the sharing of ideas and insights in this segment.
Each group representative will have around five (5) minutes, or as allowed by the program’s
time frame, to present the main points from their group’s discussion.
Following each presentation, feedback will be gathered to exchange insights and brainstorm
ideas for practical implementation.
Wrap-Up Activities
The wrap-up guide is a structured outline used to conclude a workshop or training effectively.
The Facilitator will close the session using the following guide.
1. Recap the key insights and takeaways from the LAC session to ensure that everyone
departs with a common understanding of the session's objectives and outcomes. You may
also refer to the activities described in the “Expected Outputs” section.
2. Encourage teachers to put their learning into practice in their classrooms. To bridge
the gap between theory and practice, helping them translate ideas into actions.
3. Address any remaining questions or clarifications, this will be a great chance to ensure
the members feel clear and confident about the material and encourage them for full
engagement.
4. Invite participants to reflect on their learning and any changes in perspective.
This way will solidify learning by allowing members to consider how new insights might
shape their teaching approach or personal viewpoints.
5. Outline the agreed-next steps to provide a clear action plan, helping participants
know what’s expected going forward after the session ends.
6. Acknowledge everyone for their active contributions
and engagement to foster a positive atmosphere,

Socratic Forum
Objective
The primary objective of a Socratic Forum is to foster critical thinking and deeper
understanding through collaborative dialogue. Participants engage in meaningful discussions,
encouraging inquiry and reflection, which enhances their learning experience.
How to Deliver
Group members sit in a circle, and the facilitator introduces the upcoming activity.
The facilitator will ask a series of questions or may refer to those listed in the “Guide
Questions for Insight-Sharing Session” section.
After presenting the questions, teachers are encouraged to expand on the topic by
discussing, asking each other questions, sharing personal experiences, and reflecting on
one another’s insights within the group.

Snowballing
Objective
Aims to promote collaboration among teachers by encouraging them to discuss and share
diverse perspectives on a topic. It enhances critical thinking as participants analyze issues
together and allows for the sharing of insights from smaller groups, ensuring that everyone
contributes to the collective knowledge. This approach also builds relationships among
teachers and fosters a supportive environment where ideas are valued, ultimately encouraging
active participation
How to Deliver
Introduce the Topic
Present the topic or issue that teachers will discuss and investigate or may refer to those
listed in the “Guide Questions for Insight-sharing Session” section.
Pair Discussion
Divide the teachers into pairs.
Instruct them to discuss the topic or the questions for a set amount of time (e.g., 5-10
minutes), sharing their insights and findings.
Form Small Groups
After the pair discussions, have each pair join another pair to form a group of four. Allow them
to share their findings with each other, facilitating further discussion.
Expand to Larger Groups
Continue the process by having groups of four join with another group of four to form a group
of eight.
Repeat this step, merging groups until reaching the whole class (16 teachers joining
together to discuss).
Whole-Class Sharing
Once all groups have formed, invite representatives
from each larger group to share key insights
and findings with the entire class. Expert
