RRB ALP Stage-2 Syllabus 2024
The ability to read Engineering Drawings is essential to perform a
job/task of Engineering Trades. It is the skill set that enables
comprehension of the given job and subsequent planning to complete
the day-to-day duties of an Asst. Loco Pilot and part of the RRB ALP
Stage 2 Part A Syllabus. Thus, it is regarded as one of the core skills for
all Engineering trades. The knowledge of basic scientific principles creates the foundation for
acquiring hard skills and enables subsequent detailed planning such as
selecting proper physical conditions e.g. Temperature for a heat
treatment process, Material of cutting tool, etc. Similarly, the ability to
perform simple calculations also creates the foundation for inherent
quantitatively detailed planning such as selecting the physical
conditions quantitatively, e.g. speed and feed of a cutting operation
Thus, Basic Science and Engineering (Engineering Drawing, Workshop
Calculation & Science) is regarded as a core skillset which supplements
hard skills in all Engineering Trades.
