All nonimmigrant visa applicants must bring:


- DS-160 application
- passport
- photo (see specifications below)
- second form of ID to enter the Embassy (this will be left with the guards during your
interview)
- 185 USD for the MRV to be paid to consular cashier. The MRV application fee is non-
refundable and non-transferable. There will be no refund of the fee, regardless of
whether the visa is ultimately issued or refused.

Students and Exchange Visitors MUST bring:


- all of the documents above AND
- Original I-20 (F, M visas) or DS-2019 (J visas)
- proof of SEVIS payment

You may bring other documents that support your application.

IMPORTANT: THERE IS NO FEE TO MAKE A VISA APPOINTMENT. THE MRV FEE OF 185
USD IS PAID TO THE CONSULAR CASHIER BEFORE THE INTERVIEW.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants who do not arrive at their scheduled appointment time will be
refused admission to the premises. Please do not arrive early for your appointment as
you will not be allowed to queue up prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Your appointment time is when you will be allowed to queue up to begin the application
process. Your interview will take place after the initial paperwork and processing are
completed. Please understand that our strict policy on adhering to the stated
appointment time is designed to ensure a shorter processing time for everyone.

Please do not bring large bundles or bags with you when you come for your appointment.
Please also be aware that food and cell phones are not permitted inside the building.

The primary applicant will be the only person allowed into the building unless the
applicant is a minor child (age 17 and under) accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Other parties will not be allowed into the building unless requested to do so by an
Embassy official.
