Amazon Seller Central – is the web interface used by merchants to market and sell their products
straight to Amazon’s customers. You are considered a third-party seller or a marketplace if you have
a Seller Central account. With this, the merchant or seller has a choice to go between FBA
(Fulfillment by Amazon) or FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant).

2. Amazon Seller Central is where the merchant lists all the products that he wants to sell. It also
serves as a one-stop shop for managing your selling account, doing inventory updates, adding item
information, and finding helpful contents to aid in your Amazon business.

3. Five features of the Amazon Seller Central Dashboard:

a) Catalog – add products to your record
b) Reports – view stock, fulfillment, date on bargain, among others
c) Settings – allows you to modify record information, tendencies, assents, etc.
d) Pricing – direct cost of products
e) Inventory – manage your in-stock units or products

1. Before starting with an Amazon Seller Account, you need to decide first which type of Seller account
you want to build. There are two types of Seller accounts, namely:
a) Individual – if you’re planning to sell under 40 products each month. Goes with no month-to-
month participation cost.
b) Professional – if you’re expecting to sell over 40 products each month.

2. FBA (or Fulfillment by Amazon) is a service provided by Amazon that takes burden off sellers and
grants them more flexibility by providing storage, packaging, and shipping assistance.

Some of the benefits of using FBA are the following:

a) Effortless shipping and logistics – Amazon takes care of all the work.
b) Customer service management – Amazon lends its customer service to the sellers.
c) Quick delivery – FBA listed products get the Prime badge and are eligible for the Prime free
shipping.

3. FBM (or Fulfillment by Merchant) is where the seller is responsible for all his dealing. Rather than
paying a certain charge to Amazon for help and for management of transportation inventory, the
seller instead makes use of his resources and sends the products straight to the buyers.

Some of the benefits of using FBM are the following:

a) Direct interaction with your customers to build your brand – seller will be expected to provide
the customer service rather than have Amazon execute it. This may require an ultra-maximum
effort.
b) Return great profits – seller gets a good deal on fulfillment which can limit your cost.
c) Avoid strict FBA requirements – no such issues with FBM as you’re able to set your own
standards.
