Archer Guide
Archer Guide
1. Class Role
PvP: Very high single-target damage, very high attack and skill-cast frequency. The
2 Chi-burst skills provides a short invulnerability. In PvP, Archers have both damage
and survivability.
PvE: In dungeons and Path of Five, Archers perform very well. Fangtip can
significantly reduce the HP of the boss by 10% at the beginning of the fight. And
their group buff provides additional Evasion for teammates and thus increases their
survivability. Archers have extraordinary single-target dps, but many would argue
that they don't contribute as much as Blademasters and Wizards. This is often
caused by a lack of player skills when it comes to an important Archer ability -
Barrage. It is essential for an Archer to know when to use this skill, as well as how
to sustain their mana with MP potions + Calmness Dew. If you achieve those two
points, Archers can be as deadly as other classes in both PvP and PvE.
Conclusion: An excellent and well-balanced class that suits all players.
2. Sage/Demon Decision
Sage
Pros:
- The longest attack range that even allows you to attack from outside the enemy's
field of view. The real sniper in Perfect World. (Even better dps after acquiring Lv.79
and Lv.89 rare skills.)
- High utility in Guild League (able to knock enemy Barbarians out of the circle after
acquiring Sage skills).
- Rare skill books are cheaper.
Cons:
- Weak against melee attacks. Dps drops drastically when enemies are in proximity.
- Low mobility. Unable to move while casting most of the skills.
- Relies heavily on teamwork and teammates' protection.
Demon
Pros:
- Extremely high attack speed. Most skills are instant.
- Very high mobility. The Wardwing skill allows you to counter a Wizard's AoE skills.
(You can move outside the radius of Hill's Seize easily)
- Extraordinary handling and flexibility thanks to your instant -cast skills.
- The Lv.99 common skill Ingressor provides 15% additional damage in PvP.
Cons:
- Lack of crowd control.
- Not many options when it comes to equipment. When you have the Rank
Equipment Set, you may try a variety of combinations.

Master Map
Main Pneuma:
- Use Hydra when you have the 4-piece Rank Equipment Set or when most enemies
are using Black Tortoise.
- Otherwise, use Earthshaker.
Support Pneumas: Highly recommend the Master Map Set: Earthshaker, Aike, Zephyr, and
Hillbreaker, which provide a great dps boost.
Artifact
- Chaos Bell is the most versatile option.
- Use Purgatower as the progression artifact when you are upgrading any better artifacts.
