ABSTRACT
Investment in development of food service technology is considered as
luxury as the sector comprises predominantly by small and medium size
businesses that may not be able to afford the heavy costs involved. However
rapid innovative products or service. Such hardware or software
development enables food and beverage outlets to increase quality of
product, productivity and profitability. Technology is developing at an ever
increasing pace and dramatically changes business models in the hotel. The
project aims to illustrate that investment in technological advancement
within the food service sector is happening in a number of areas and
highlights benefits in the areas of quality, cost, speed, dependency, flexibility
and employee training.

INTRODUCTION
Currently, the restaurants are facing the problem of time
which is consumed by the typical process of order placing. The
customer goes into the restaurant, then he does not know
whether there is seat available or not. After that, moreover, the
waiter will come then order will be placed, this process is
totally carried out by waiter so, it can cause any human errors.
The customers are more concerned about the service
and hospitality of restaurants. As from the observation, now a
day, some restaurants are providing phablets to the customer
table.

Problem Statement
In hotels or restaurants many problems faced by the
customers with services, like waiters may misplace the order,
forgets the order and also the customers should wait a long-side
queue to place the order and should also wait in a queue at
billing sessions, even the customer should wait for a long time
to get his order delivered and also if a customer enters into a
hotel he might not be knowing whether there is a available or
not. Robotic Automated Food Service Provider in Hotel
with Mat-lab based Individual Menu System is a best
choice.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

• Here we have used smart tables in the sense consist of a PC

with ZigBee.
• Whenever the customer places order through the PC and this
information is forwarded to the smart kitchen unit through a
ZigBee device placed in the PC located in the table.
• Menu card displayed on the table is designed using Matlab a
fourth generation programming language.

• In the kitchen unit the needs of the customer are displayed

and the prepared food is picked up by the robotic unit.
• The robot unit is programmed so that it keeps a note on each
table location so that where the order is to be placed.
• The robotic unit consist of some arms and gripper
mechanism in order to hold the food.
• The robot unit continues till it reaches the table where the
order to be placed in the dining hall unit.

CONCLUSION

In this project, a high performance-cost ratio wireless

handheld ordering terminal is proposed, which is based on the
hardware platform of ARM7 and ZigBee wireless
communication technology. The ordering terminal has the
advantages of simple structure, stable operation, low power
consumption and friendly interface. It also can improve human
resource utilization, and dramatically speed up the serving
speed, speed up the checkout speed. Thus it has bright market
prospect.
