People choose their activities based on a combination of factors including

their personal goals, which is stuff they are trying to accomplish, their
accessibility, economic considerations, interests, social influences from
the outside, the available time they got. The activities that they choose are
also based on their personal interests and whatever that doesn’t limit them
from doing the things they want to do. Another thing that has to be
considered is the economics of things.
2. One of the things that is needed for long and lasting health is for us as
humans to be considered to be constantly active in the mode of things
because you want your body to stay in good health but you never want to
do more than what is needed. Self preservation is also needed because of
how we need to rest our bodies especially even if we are healthy, so we
don’t put miles on my body.

to hear a diversity of voices in defining health and wellness.
Step 2: Reflect and respond to the following questions (minimum 100 words total)- (5
Points):
● What does health and wellness mean to you? How important is health to
you? Feel free to share a source of where this understanding came from.
(i.e., Who helped teach you this meaning and importance?)
● 6 Points
○ For each of the Six Dimensions of Wellness, list an example of
something you are doing for your wellness that you perceive as
healthy? (e.g., Social Wellness - eat dinner with my housemates
every Sunday night; Environmental Wellness - ride my bike to work
regularly)
○ For each of the Six Dimensions of Wellness, list an example of a
behavior you'd like to improve? (e.g., Emotional Wellness - would
like to speak up more when my co-worker treats me badly;
Physical Wellness - need to drink more water to stay hydrated)
Health and wellness are basically ideas that bring a holistic view of being well,
focusing on both physical and mental aspects of life. Health is referring to your state of
being while wellness is more focused on the emotional aspect of things. Health is very
important to me because I make sure to eat the right foods before I finish heavy
physical activity. From the “Six Dimensions of Wellness” paper, one thing that I am
doing for my wellness is the concept of spirituality, and spiritual wellness, where it
comes to having a sense of purpose which is about bringing peace and harmony. I am
doing this with a want to actually do what I do which is the kinetic movements. The one I
am trying to improve is emotional wellness is to be able to react to things that I am not
particularly excited about. My emotional part is something I am always aware of and I
am trying to be on the positive side of emotional wellness, so I’m constantly trying to fix
up.

Health and wellness are concepts that encompass a holistic view of

well-being, focusing on both physical and mental aspects of life. Here's how I
understand them:

Health

Health typically refers to the state of being free from illness or injury and functioning
optimally across various aspects of life. It includes:

● Physical Health: Maintaining a body that is fit, resilient, and free from diseases.
This involves regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and routine
medical check-ups.
● Mental Health: Managing stress, maintaining emotional stability, and fostering a
positive outlook. This involves activities like self-care, therapy, and building
supportive relationships.

Wellness

Wellness is a broader concept that incorporates health but also emphasizes a proactive
approach to achieving a balanced and fulfilling life. It includes:

● Emotional Wellness: Understanding and managing your emotions in a healthy

way.
● Social Wellness: Building and maintaining positive relationships and social
networks.
● Intellectual Wellness: Engaging in continuous learning and mental challenges.
● Spiritual Wellness: Finding purpose, meaning, and alignment with personal
values or beliefs.

Importance of Health

Health is fundamental because it serves as the foundation for a fulfilling life. Without
good health, it can be challenging to pursue other goals, engage in meaningful
activities, or enjoy life fully. It affects every aspect of living, from productivity and
relationships to overall happiness.

Even though I don't have personal needs or experiences, I can see the critical role that
health and wellness play in enhancing quality of life and promoting long-term happiness.
Taking a holistic approach to health—one that includes physical, mental, and emotional
well-being—helps individuals lead more balanced and satisfying lives.

have also applied to Fresno State for spring transfer, so I am hopefully going to hear
good news in terms of being able to transfer next spring. I am trying to transfer so I can
