In the CNC machine tool industry, informatization and networking are an inevitable
trend and the basis for intelligence. In recent years, with the development of network

CNC machine tools are the necessary equipment and one of the necessary equipment

At present, CNC machine tools produced in China can be roughly divided into three
types: economical machine tools, popular machine tools, and high-end machine tools.
Economical machine tools are basically open-loop control; popular machine tools use
semi-closed-loop control technology, and the resolution can reach 1 micron; high-end
machine tools use closed-loop control, with high precision, high speed, compounding, and
various compensation functions. New control functions, automatic diagnosis, the resolution
can reach 0.1 micron, and the computer can replace the human for programming.
From the forecast report on the development prospect of China's CNC machine tool
industry, it is known that the economical CNC machine tools used in China are basically
domestic products, and domestic products can meet the needs of most machine tool users in
terms of quality and reliability. About 60%~70% of the domestic popular CNC machine
tools are domestic products, but it should be pointed out that about 80% of the CNC systems
in these domestic CNC machine tools use foreign products. In terms of high-end machine
tools, domestic products only account for about 2%, and they are basically imported. In
terms of market demand, low-end machine tools and mid-range machine tools account for
about 50% and 40% respectively, and the demand for high-end CNC machine tools is about

as Japan and South Korea, there is a huge difference. Compared with the global average of

of industrial automation is the top priority of my country's processing and manufacturing
industries.
The application of numerical control technology has not only brought revolutionary
changes to the traditional manufacturing industry, making the manufacturing industry a
symbol of industrialization, but also with the continuous development of numerical control
technology and the expansion of application fields, some important industries such as
national defense, automobiles, etc. The development of these industries plays an
increasingly important role, and the digitization of equipment in these industries has
become a major trend in modern development. CNC machine tools have been widely used
in modern manufacturing, and the performance of CNC machine tools is unmatched by
ordinary machine tools. The following is a brief introduction to the characteristics of CNC
machine tools:
First, from the structural characteristics of CNC machine tools
(1) The transmission chain of CNC machine tools is short. Compared with ordinary
machine tools, the spindle drive is no longer driven by a motor-belt-gear sub-mechanism,
but uses horizontal and vertical feeds, and there are two servo motors in decibels. The
driving movement is completed, and the parts driven by the hanging wheel and the clutch
are not used, so the transmission chain of the CNC machine tool is short.
(2) The rigidity of CNC machine tools is high. In order to match the high precision of the
CNC system, the rigidity of CNC machine tools is particularly high. This is mainly for the
use of high-precision machining requirements, which is unmatched by the accuracy of

(3) The light drag of the CNC machine tool, and the movement of the tool holder adopts a
ball screw, which has a very small friction and is very convenient to move. The two ends
of the screw are supported by special bearings. The pressure of the CNC machine tool is
greater than that of the ordinary bearing. The lubrication part is lubricated by the oil mist
automatic lubrication method. These measures make the CNC machine tool very easy to
move.
Second, what are the characteristics of CNC machine tool processing
(1) Highly flexible
Machining parts on CNC machine tools mainly depends on the processing program, there
is no need to manufacture and replace many molds and fixtures, and there is no need to
readjust the machine tool frequently. Therefore, CNC machine tools are suitable for
occasions where the processed parts are frequently replaced, that is, suitable for the
production of single-piece, small batch products and the development of new products,
thereby shortening the production preparation cycle and saving a lot of process equipment
costs.
(2) High machining accuracy
The CNC machine tool is controlled in the form of digital signals. Each time the CNC
device outputs a pulse signal, the moving parts of the machine tool move a pulse
equivalent, and the average error of the backlash of the machine tool feed transmission
chain and the screw pitch can be compensated by the CNC device. Therefore, the
positioning accuracy of CNC machine tools is relatively high.
(3) Stable and reliable processing quality

What the operator has to do is only program input, editing, parts loading and unloading,
tool preparation, processing state observation, parts inspection, etc. The labor intensity is

2). Fix the dust pipe bracket to the Z spindle and the side of lathe bracket. There are
screws in the point of connection, taking off the screw and fixed the bracket on.
3). Watering the water tank. Main spindle cutting motor is cooled by water, so we fixed a
water tank on the machine case, watering from the water inlet.
4). There are four power lines on the left and the back of the machine case, connect the
four lines to the three-phase power supply, one black line connect need connect to
zero line. Take out the control handle and the online line from the fitting case, and
connect to the machine case, press the switch, the screen of control handle will be
alight, it will show you whether zero return or not, choose yes to zero return, the
machine start to move, Z spindle rise to the top, X spindle return to left side, Y spindle
return to the front. Check whether the water pump works normally, the method: pull out
3the water outlet pipe to see whether there is water flowing out. If there no water flowing

from the water outlet pipe after long time working, it shows that the water pump
reversed, exchange the two lines connected to the pump, to make the pump rotate in a
right way. Note: the voltage connected to the pump should be 380V 50HZ。
5). Telescoping the dust hood from the bottom of the main cutting spindle, the brush of
the dust hood should be lower than one of the main spindle cutter, this position can be
adjusted, the main function is to gain better effect of dust suction.
6). Install dust pipe. There are three dust pipes, two pipes are the same, another one is
longer and thicker. One end of the longer dust pipe should be connected to the dust
collector, There are three holes on the dust collector for suction, one of them is
equipped with containment shield, the other two holes is to connect the pipe end, if one
hole is enough for you, you can sealed the other hole with some material.
1). The vacuum pump should be installed on a plane surface, do not need other special
material or underpan to fix it, just by bolt hole.
2). Use adhesive tape to enlace several circles on the pipe adjutage, revolve it to the
non-return valve of the motor. To make sure the good leak tightness.
3). Before using it, imput water into water inlet till there is water flowing out from the
water outlet. After using for some time, the water will decrease and the water temperature
will increase. So, it is should be taken into account that, cool water should be frequently
added into. Make sure that the water temperature is below 80℃. We suggest to use water
pipe to connect the water inlet, water outlet can drain off water to make sure enough water
can be circulated. Cautious: Don’t run the vacuum pump without water. The in and out
directions of the air and the rotating direction of the pump have been marked on the pump.
2.3 Dust extraction installation

2.4 Test running
After three sets of equipments are prepared, pull the adsorption tube from the back

Connect the suction pipe to the adjutage of the pump.
Turn on the switch of the machine and all the equipments keep in user mode. When

System Connection
The mechanical motion control signal of NCStudio realizes the connection and communicatio
n between the NCStudio software system and the feed motor drive system installed in the elec
trical box of the machine tool through the motion control card inserted in the expansion slot of
the computer.
Before the NCStudio motion control card is connected to the motor drive system, it first instal
ls the machine tool and the electrical box in place, and uses a special cable to connect the sock
et on the motion control card to the corresponding socket on the electrical box. In this way, th
e connection between the NCStudio motion control card and the motor drive system is comple
ted.
The machine tool spindle refers to the axis on the machine tool that drives the workpiece o
r tool to rotate. Main shaft components are usually composed of main shaft, bearings and tran
smission parts (gears or pulleys). In the machine, it is mainly used to support transmission par
ts such as gears and pulleys, to transmit motion and torque, such as machine tool spindles; so

ion is linear motion, such as planers and broaching machines, most machine tools have spindl
e components. The motion accuracy and structural rigidity of the spindle components are imp

The main indicators to measure the performance of spindle components are rotation accura
cy, stiffness and speed adaptability.
①Rotation accuracy: The radial and axial runout that occurs in the direction that affects th
e machining accuracy when the spindle rotates is mainly determined by the manufacturing an
d assembly quality of the spindle and bearings.

②Dynamic and static stiffness: mainly depends on the bending stiffness of the main shaft, the
stiffness and damping of the bearing.
③Speed adaptability: The maximum allowable speed and speed range are mainly determined
by the structure and lubrication of the bearing, as well as the heat dissipation conditions
Machine tool spindle maintenance: To reduce the working temperature of the bearing, lubricat
ing oil is often used. There are two types of lubrication: oil-air lubrication and oil-circulating l
ubrication. When using these two methods, pay attention to the following points:
1. When using oil circulation lubrication, it is necessary to ensure that the amount of oil in the
constant temperature oil tank of the spindle is sufficient.
2. The oil and gas lubrication method is just the opposite of the oil circulation lubrication, it o
nly needs to fill 10% of the bearing space capacity.
The advantage of circulating lubrication is that, under the condition of satisfying lubrication, i
t can reduce frictional heat generation and absorb part of the heat of the main shaft assembly.
There are also two ways to lubricate the spindle: oil mist lubrication and spray lubrication.
A stepper motor is a motor that converts electrical pulse signals into corresponding angula
r displacement or linear displacement. Each time a pulse signal is input, the rotor rotates an an
gle or moves forward one step, the output angular displacement or linear displacement is prop
ortional to the number of input pulses, and the rotational speed is proportional to the pulse fre
quency. Therefore, stepper motors are also called pulse motors.

Stepper motor, also known as pulse motor, is based on the most basic principle of electrom
agnet. It is an electromagnet that can rotate freely. Its action principle is to generate electroma
gnetic torque by relying on the change of air-gap permeance.
The biggest difference between stepper motor and other control motors is that it receives d
igital control signal (electrical pulse signal) and converts it into corresponding angular displac
ement or linear displacement. It itself is an executive element that completes digital mode con
version. And it can open-loop position control, input a pulse signal to get a specified position i
ncrement, such a so-called incremental position control system, compared with the traditional
DC control system, its cost is significantly reduced, almost no need for system adjustment. Th
e angular displacement of the stepping motor is strictly proportional to the number of input pu
lses, and is synchronized with the pulses in time. Therefore, as long as the number of pulses, t
he frequency and the phase sequence of the motor windings are controlled, the required rotati
on angle, speed and direction can be obtained.
There are many structural forms and classification methods of stepping motors. Generally,
they are divided into three types: reluctance type, permanent magnet type and mixed magnetic
type according to the excitation method; according to the number of phases, they can be divid
ed into single-phase, two-phase, three-phase and multi-phase forms. .
Among the stepping motors used in our country, reactive stepping motors are the main one
s. The operating performance of the stepping motor is closely related to the control method. F
rom the perspective of its control method, the stepping motor control system can be divided in
to the following three categories: open-loop control system, closed-loop control system, and s
emi-closed-loop control system. Semi-closed-loop control systems are generally classified as
open-loop or closed-loop systems in practical applications.
The speed of the stepper motor depends on the pulse frequency, the number of rotor teeth
and the number of beats. Its angular velocity is proportional to the pulse frequency and is time
-synchronized with the pulse. Therefore, when the number of rotor teeth and the number of ru
nning beats are constant, the required speed can be obtained by controlling the pulse frequenc
y. Since the stepper motor is started with its synchronous torque, the starting frequency is not
high in order not to lose step. Especially with the increase of power, the diameter of the rotor i

ncreases, the inertia increases, and the difference between the starting frequency and the maxi
mum operating frequency may be as much as ten times.
The starting frequency characteristics of the stepping motor make it impossible to directly
reach the running frequency when the stepping motor starts, but there must be a starting proce
ss, that is, the speed is gradually increased from a low speed to the running speed. When stopp
ing, the running frequency cannot immediately drop to zero, but there must be a high-speed a
nd gradual slow-down to zero process.
The vacuum table is connected under the table top of the woodworking engraving machine by
a vacuum pump through a pipeline. There are many adsorption holes on the table top of the
engraving machine. When we put the wooden board on it, the wooden board is firmly
adsorbed by the negative pressure generated by the vacuum pump. On the table the engraving
machine starts to work at this time, and the entire loading and unloading process does not
exceed ten seconds, with high efficiency and fast speed. It is very suitable for line carving of
wooden doors and panel furniture.
The T-slot table is a fixing method in which the workpiece is fixed on the table by manually
tightening the screws. The profile table is a layer of aluminum profiles with T-shaped grooves
at the bottom, and a layer of PVC material is placed on the top. If the shape of the material is
irregular and the vacuum adsorption is not easy to fix or the processing technology is
embossing, hollowing, cutting and other processes, it is more suitable to use the profile fixture
table.
Relief engraving itself takes a long time to engrave, and it does not care about the few
minutes of artificially fixing the splint, and the process of hollow relief cutting and other
processes cannot be absorbed by a vacuum pump. The woodworking engraving machine for
the profile fixture table is suitable for embossed handicrafts; hollow partitions, screens and
other home decoration; advertising industry PVC, acrylic, two-color board cutting and
engraving, etc.

4.1 CNC router maintenance
Xunke CNC router is a machine tool equipment, it has a certain running in period, it is better
to use in the low speed in the first three months, Pls use it intermittently and keep the
motor not too hot, frequently clear the dust of the bearing of the ballscrew and lubricate it.
It is necessary to clean impurity and apply oil during the daily use of engraving machine,
or else the machine will work slowly and in disorder because of the long time working
without cleaning the impurity and dust of the ballscrew, sliding block and inner of bearing.
Maintenance methods:
1). Choose the lubricate oil: the mixture of the engine oil and cup grease, not too thick.
2). Lubricating parts: master screw, guide screw, sliding block and axletree of the
spindles of X, Y, Z.
3). The process of lubricating: wipe of the impurity of the rack, axletree, master screw,
guide rail, nut and the siding block of axletree before lubricating. If some are difficult
to wipe off, you can use petrol to clean then fill the lubricating oil and makes speed
gradually to test without material.
4). Lubricating period: it should depends on the working surroundings and the working
time, generally wipe of the disintegrating slag everyday after work. And fill the oil of
each parts per month then move fast to lubricate without processing any materials.
5). Lubricating methods: use cup grease to fill sliding block, other parts can use oil pot
to drip oil or use cloth to rub oil on
4.3.1 In order to avoid the abrasion of the the impeller and pump body or locking of the
impeller, make sure that the dust which go into the pump with the air and the water
should be washed out through the washing pot which is in the bottom of pump
cap.9
4.3.2 If use hard water act as working fluid, the hard water should be intenerated, or
wash the vacuum pump periodically.
4.3.3 Lubricate
In the average working circumstances, using 50HZ motor: after 20,000 hours
working or after 3 years working, the disused grease and dirt between the axletrees
and their accessories should be cleaned and the new lubricating oil should be
added into. The newly added lubricating oil should take 50% space of the axletrees
and 65% space of the axletrees cap.
If the working conditions is very wretched, the exchange period of oil should be
shorten.
4.3.4 Exhaust
After drain away the air, open the water outlet of water tank to make the water
outflow.

And rotate the vacuum pump by manual drive, until there is no water to outflow.
Incline the vacuum pump at 45 degree angle to drain away completely. In this case,
the pump won’t get breakage even if it is long-time no use or under the cold
weather.
4.3.5
The methods of dealing with long—time pump off: if the pump has been
discontinued using for more than 4 weeks, it should be drained according to
method 3, after that, it should be taken anticorrosion treatment, that is to say, pure
1/2 L anticorrosive oil to the pump from the suction port or the vent, and then run the
vacuum pump for a short time. If the impeller is locked after long-time discontinue use
because of have using hard water,
the vacuum pump should be inpoured with 10%
oxalic acid for about 30 minutes.
Frequently clean dust and pay more attention to oiling maintenance for the rotation part.
5.2.1 It is very important for cutters useful life and quality of cutting works to choose

proper cutting speed according to different working materials . Work more
quickly , better , and more safely with proper cutting speed .
5.2.2 Big cutters move slowly and continuously , in uniform and steady speed .
Note : No pause during cutting .
5.2.3 Impel the cutters with large diameter for several times to finish cutting , which
will prolong the useful life of cutters and make operation more safely .
5.3.1 Maintain the cutters clean . Use standard cleanser that is special for cutters to
clean the filth and impurity .
5.3.2 Smear an amount of machine oil on cutters surface to avoid rusting and
damage.
5.3.3 In order to meet the demand of operation , milling process needs the particular
equipments and skills . Forbid milling cutters or changing the shapes of cutters
at random, or that will cause the cutter edge broken even facilities accident .
5.3.4 Blow to clean the ash and other dirt off the bearing . Forbid cleaning it with
diesel oil or coal oil , or that will damage the special lipid .
