Question No. 1: Name some of the eastern tributaries of Indus River System.
Answer: Here are the major eastern tributaries of Indus River:

Answer: The canal system in Pakistan is a vast network of artificial waterways, which plays a
vital role for agriculture. The primary function of the canal system is to support agriculture sector.
The canals supply water to fields and farmlands enabling multiple cropping seasons and
supporting wide range of crops.

Question No. 2: What are some examples of both small and large dams in Pakistan?
Answer: Dams play an important role in water storage, irrigation, hydropower generation and
flood control.

Answer:

Answer: Water Pollution is a world-wide pollution. To reduce water pollution, the following steps
can be taken:
1) Reduction of Plastic Use: Avoid using plastic bags and bottles, as they often end up in
rivers and oceans. Switch to reusable items to cut down on plastic waste.
2) Proper Waste Disposal: Always throw trash in the bin and avoid dumping waste in water
bodies. Also, recycle whenever possible to prevent harmful materials from entering our
water sources.
