Offline ServicePlus : Installation Manual

How to Install Offline SerevicePlus?

Step-1: Login to Online Bihar-ServicePlus (https://serviceonline.bihar.gov.in) with


Data Entry Operator’s (DEO) User-Id.

Step-2: Go to Menu and click on “Go Offline” option and click on “Download Setup /
Service(s)”.

Step-3: Download “Complete Bundle (Tomcat, Java, Postgres and Database)” as per
your Computer Configuration (64 Bit or 32 Bit).

Step-4: Extract the downloaded file in a folder.

Step-5: Install “jre-8u231-windows-x64.exe” file for 64 Bit Computer. Do similar for


32 Bit Computer.

Step-6: Install “postgresql-9.5.5-1-windows-x64.exe” file. Do similar for 32 Bit


Computer. Please set a password (“postgres” by default) when asked, remember the
same.

Step-7: Go to Control Panel => System and Security => System. Click on “Advanced
System Settings”. Go to “Advanced” tab and click “Environment Variables”.

Step-8: Now click “New” button on System variable section

Step-9: Enter “JRE_HOME” in variable name and paste JRE8 path (Open JRE8
folder and copy the path. For example, “C:\Program Files\Java\jre8”) in variable
value and click “Ok” button.

Step-10: Select “path” variable in system variable section and click on “Edit” button.

Step-11: Now click on “New” button in Edit environment variable window and type in
“%JRE_HOME%\bin” exactly as it is without quotes than click “Ok” button.

Step-12: Repeat Step-10 and click on “New” button in Edit environment variable
window and paste PostgresSQL path (open PostgreSQL Bin folder and copy the path.
For example, “C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.5\bin”) then click “Ok” button.

Step-13: Now open the “Offline Setup” folder and search for “serviceplus.bat” file
and click it to run.

Step-14: Wait for few moments till ServicePlus localhost opens in a web browser.

Step-15: Enter Username (default: postgres) and Password (default: postgres) and
check the checkbox then click on “Submit” button.

Step-16: After few seconds, the login screen of ServicePlus appears in web browser
with localhost. Now Offline ServicePlus installed for your computer. Close the
“Tomcat Console” screen and web browser and restart your computer.

Step-17: Now run “serviceplus.bat” file available in unzipped folder to start Offline
ServicePlus. Create a Shortcut of this file on your Desktop to run it.
