Part: Clearly write and briefly explain the following questions (10%)

1) Describe the advantages and disadvantages of the following modes of transport:


a) Road transport
b) Railway transport
c) Ocean transport
d) Air transport
2) Visit the nearest market of your area and ask the trader which mode of transport
they are using and why?
3) In the decision making process to select the proposed Highway alignment and
route location, Civil Engineers are responsible to gather the important classical

components as per IRC Standards with neat sketches
