Last Saturday, Emily and her friends decided to have a picnic by the lake.

In the morning, Emily


packed some sandwiches, fruit, and drinks into a large basket. She also brought a blanket, a book,
and a frisbee. The weather was perfect—blue sky, warm sun, and a light breeze.

When they arrived at the lake, they found a nice spot under a big tree. Emily spread the blanket on
the grass, and everyone sat down. While her friends were chatting, Emily opened her book and
started reading. After a while, they played frisbee together. Emily's friend John was very good at
catching it, but Emily’s throws were often too high or too low, which made everyone laugh.

In the afternoon, they ate the delicious food Emily prepared. The sandwiches were fresh, the fruit
was sweet, and the drinks were cold. After eating, they went for a short walk around the lake. They
saw ducks swimming and even spotted a small turtle on a rock.

As the sun began to set, the sky turned orange and pink. Emily and her friends sat quietly,
watching the beautiful view. When it got dark, they packed everything and went home, feeling
happy and tired. It was a wonderful day.
