I. RATIONALE:

Community Care: Clean-Up Coalition is a collaborative

initiative uniting educators, school children, local businesses, barangay
officials and community members to promote environmental stewardship
and community pride. Our mission is to foster a cleaner, safer, and
healthier environment through education, outreach, and collective action.

The community trash problem cannot be completely

eradicated due to various interconnected factors. Inadequate waste
management infrastructures, characterized by insufficient trash cans and
poorly maintained dumpsters, exacerbates the issue. Additionally,
environment factors like heavy rainfall and strong winds scatter trash,
while neglected public spaces and lack maintenance contribute to the
problem. Human behavior, such as carelessness, lack of awareness about
proper disposal, and excessive consumption of single-use plastics, also
contributes to the problem. Furthermore, socio-economic factors,
including population growth, poverty, and transient population, have
intensifies the crisis. Insufficient recycling program, infrequent waste
collection, and poorly designed public spaces compound the problem.
Underscoring the need for comprehensive solution and community
engagement.

Cleaning up our community is essential for maintaining a

healthy, beautiful and sustainable environment. By doing so, we protect
public health by reducing pollution, preventing disease transmission and
mitigating environmental hazards. Clean surroundings also foster
community pride, social cohesion and economic growth by attracting
residents. Moreover, community clean-ups promote environmental
