Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 Support the MEL Specialist in timely and effective implementation of Monitoring


Evaluation and Learning activities of the AMP project in line with M&E manual
and work plan and the stated objectives of the project;
 Collect all information relevant to key project indicators and outputs in a timely
manner by and that all information collected is consistent with the information
required for progress reporting and outcome monitoring;
 Undertake quality monitoring in the field recording lessons learned and
providing best practices and by supporting the provision of on-the-job coaching
of staff in field office implementing partners and local stakeholders;
 Provide inputs for regular updates of factsheets bulletins social media content or
human-interest stories based on the M&E data of the AMP project backed by the
visual evidences (photos and quotes) in close coordination with the MEL
Specialist;
 Conduct regular field visits highlight the observations and issues to the project
with the intention to complete the information and report to MEL director.
 Undertake quality monitoring of project activities based on the quality
benchmark and communicate with the team in case of any issue or
shortcoming.
 Assist in designing and conducting surveys to measure improvements in
agricultural technologies and practices in all intervention areas;
 Performing other tasks assigned by MEL Senior Specialist.
 Holding overall responsibility for high-quality design and implementation of
all aspects of the program, Based on actual needs and response analysis.
 Provide strategic guidance, strong leadership and ensure technically sound
decision-making processes
 In coordination with the Vision Invention Technical Advisor.
 Ensure timely startup and implementation of the program in
collaboration with program staff, Partner and relevant departments.
 Fully understand all contract requirements and client’s expectations and ensure
project field implementation fulfills these requirements.
 Ensure regular and on time monitoring and monthly reporting on all
program management aspects Including the Action Plan (phased budget
and actual expenses analysis, work-plan progress and Updating,
procurement plan revision, IPTT data collection and analysis and
monitoring of indicators, Partner sub-awards and capacity building plans).
Flag and troubleshoot when issues arise during Implementation.
 Taking full responsibility for the delegated budget holding function on the
programmatic aspects of the Program, participate actively in award review
meetings and contribute to financial decision making, ensuring that value
for money can be effectively demonstrated to the donor.
 Manage and supervise Kabul staff as directed; and work across all departments
to coordinate and integrate the work of all teams to ensure proper
administration of the program and facilitate technical aspects of design and
implementation of projects, in concert with the Vision Invention Chief of Party
(COP).
 Provide technical guidance as appropriate and serve as a subject matter expert
in the relevant Components’ activities.
 Coordinate the development, implementation and reporting on detailed
implementation plans.
 Track and report monthly and quarterly on programmatic achievements to the
Communications team.
 Mentor and provide constructive feedback to program staff; serve in a supervisory
role.
 Guide and manage the program teams to assure the timely and effective
completion of activities within allocated resource using appropriate best
practices. Monitor and assure the technical quality of work by the program team.

Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Specialist with Roots of Peace

Afghanistan. Main Duties &

Responsibilities:

 Provided training to concerned program staff on the use of MEAL system;


conduct rapid assessments and trend analysis of field-based programs to
monitor program activity
 Collaborated with project officers will manage and administer all program’s
related baseline survey starting from data collection, compiling of data and
write reports accordingly.
 Contributed to design and implementation of periodic evaluation activities
including baseline surveys, research and evaluations in the area of education.
 Collected good quality monitoring data in a timely manner and organize
data received for reporting to the Programme Coordinator and MEAL
Manager.
 Produced monitoring checklists and conduct quarterly joint field process
monitoring, quality assessment and data validation, and provide feedbacks
and recommendations for timely improvement
 Developed capacity of local communities, partners and staff on the
programme M&E framework, data management, and data analysis and
results‐oriented programming, monitoring and evaluation methods and
principles and reporting systems.
 Ensured that children, women and other vulnerable community members are
actively participating in all
