1. Write a note on block chain.
Ans: Block chain is a method of storing data in blocks that makes it difficult or even impossible
to change the data or hack it. Blocks create a chain because each one has information about the
block before it, hence strengthening the links in the chain. The transaction or file recorded
cannot be modified. Block chain technology is also the backbone of all crypto currencies.

Speed for data transmission is much Speed for the data transmission is fastest.
slower as compared to Li-Fi.
It is quite expensive. It is cheap.
5. Explain the terms data communication, message, encoder and decoder.
Ans: Data communication: It is the process of sending and receiving data electronically from
one location to the other.
Message: It is the data to be sent, it may be text, image, audio, video or combination of these.
Encoder: These are the devices that convert digital signals into a form that can be travel over
wired or wireless media on the sender’s side.
Decoders: These are the devices that receive converted signals on the receiving side and
convert them again into the digital form.
6. Differentiate between LAN and WAN.
LAN WAN
LAN is restricted to a small geographical WAN covers greater distances and operates
area. worldwide.
LAN is faster than WAN. WAN is slower than LAN.
Data transfers more quickly through LAN. WAN transmits data at a slower rate than
LAN.
