Grammar:

Subject Verb agreement. If the subject is singular, the verb should be singular.

Use proper tenses

Use correct articles.

Noun Form

Pronoun should agree with the noun : boy-he: girl-she, boys-they

Do not use contractions in the essay – like won’t. didn’t etc

Spelling

1. Be consistent with spelling. It can be British or American. Do not use color at one place
and colour at the other.
2. Do not use Indian names like Bhimavaram, Pune etc. for places and person’s names.

• lose –loose,
• principal-principle,
• affect-effect,
• where-were
• then-than
• weather-whether
• right-write
• its - it’s
