An African Adventure

1___

Victoria Falls is a popular tourist attraction in Zimbabwe and Zambia. A great way to get there is by
train from Bulawayo. The journey takes about 9 hours, but you can see many beautiful places on
the way. It’s also quite cheap – a ticket costs about £10. There are also buses from Namibia to
Victoria Falls. This takes longer, more than 14 hours, but it’s cheaper than the train.

2___

The Victoria Falls National Park is open all year. In the rainy season (December to March), the
water volume is higher, and the falls are more beautiful. In the dry season, (April to October), the
water volume is lower, and by October there isn’t much water in the waterfall. The best time to go
is in March or April after the rainy season.

3___

You can see the falls from the air, by boat or simply by walking. You can go on an exciting
helicopter ride or do a bungee jump! A boat trip along the Zambezi River is an amazing experience
and a good opportunity to see animals, too. It’s a great way to take fantastic photos.
