REFLECTION SHEET ON VAK INSTRUMENT

The VAK INSTRUMENT categorizes individuals' most prevalent learning styles. Most of us like to learn
using one of three methods, per the model: kinesthetic, auditory, or visual.

Visual: information is better absorbed and retained by visually dominant learners when it is provided
in the form of pictures, diagrams, charts, films, or displays. It's one see-it procedure, to put it briefly.
Words like "show me" and "like me" are used.

Auditory: it is a say-it procedure. A more auditory-dominant student would rather listen to the
material being provided. They react best to voices when speaking over the phone, in person during a
lecture or group discussion, or through spoken language. Rehearsing something in his voice back to a
trainer or instructor is helpful.

Kinesthetic: A student who leans more toward the tactile sense enjoys hands-on activities. She
responds well to being able to touch, grip, or feel an object or learning aid and prefers a "hands-on"
approach. It is similar to trying new things on its own.

You learn best when information is given graphically, according to your VAK learning style, where you
scored highest in Visual (14), followed by Kinesthetic (9), and Auditory (7). Diagrams, charts, and
written instructions are helpful to you since they make it easier for you to digest and remember
information.

1. Visual Learning (14 points)

Example: The best way to organize the information in your Harvard Business School case study is to
read mind maps, charts, or diagrams first. This visual representation makes complex facts more
accessible to learn and remember by enhancing your ability to recognize connections and patterns.
Treatment: We may use flowcharts, graphical summaries, and color-coded notes to improve our
visual learning. When studying, try to picture the material mentally and consider how various
components interact.

2. Kinesthetic Learning (Score: 9)

Example: I often "have a go" at new activities and hands-on tasks and learn by doing. For instance, if
I'm learning to use Excel instead of just reading the instructions, I'll get right in and start
experimenting.
Treatment: To strengthen your kinesthetic learning, participate in more learning-related physical
activities. Creating models or utilizing simulation software, for instance, can aid in maintaining your
comprehension.
3. Auditory Learning (Mark: 7)
Example: sometimes it isn't accessible or distracting to take in knowledge when you're supposed to
be listening to someone else speak it out, such as during a lecture or group discussion. For example,
you could recall everything discussed at a meeting with written notes or visual cues.
Treatment: Although auditory learning is not your strongest suit, I am trying to strengthen it through
active participation in listening exercises. I listen to recordings several times or combine written
notes with audio input.
