Epygi Technologies Language Packs Overview
All Quadro products have a basic set of language options (English as default), and the possibility to
upload a custom Language Pack to support a specific language.
To upload a new custom language pack, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to the Quadro as admin and select the Upload Language Pack from the System
menu.
2. Browse the custom language pack to be uploaded.
Uploading a language pack will also change the language of some supported IP phones (Aastra, snom
Grandstream, AudioCodes, Panasonic, Polycom and Yealink). After a custom Language Pack is uploaded
onto the system, reboot the IP phone to load a matching language onto the phone.
Please Note: Only one custom Language Pack can be uploaded at the time. Uploading a Language
Pack will remove the existing one (if applicable) and will reboot the Quadro.
The language of voice messages can be switched to the custom Language Pack from the System
Configuration Wizard -> Regional Settings and Preferences GUI Page.
The language of GUI session can be changed to the custom Language Pack from the radio buttons on
the Quadro login page.
The tables below give the following information regarding the published Language Packs (LP):
• Version – A language pack version. The first two digits in a LP version match the major software
release version the LP is created on. For example, LP 4.1.2 is designed for Quadro software 4.1.x.
The third digit indicates the LP revision version. Additionally, the GUI version may differ from the LP
version. In cases when it does, the GUI column in the table below will show the software version
that the GUI was created on.
Please Note: Maintenance releases associated with a major software (SW) release (for example,
major SW release 4.1.x may have several maintenance releases such as 4.1.1, 4.1.2 and so on) will
have the same voice messages (VM). New major SW releases (for example from 4.1.x to 5.3.x)
may have new voice messages added to them. Epygi tries to work with our channel partners to
maintain the Language Packs and upgrade to the latest release given the particular demand for the
Language Pack. Maintenance of an LP is not guaranteed.
Please Note: A Language Pack created on a software release that is older than the software that is
currently installed in the Quadro will function, but any voice prompts that have been added or
modified on the newer software release will work in English.
• Components included in a language pack - A language pack can contain any of the following
four components:
o Voice messages (VM)
o Quadro GUI
o Online help (OH)
o Supported IP phones language packs (IP phone LP) – capability of changing supported IP
phones’ GUI language to the language of an installed LP.
• Quadro models - Quadro models is the LP that it is applicable to.

Attention: If your product is a Quadro2x, 4x or 16x and the unit is an older model with only 32Mb
of NAND Flash memory, then installing the Spanish (International) language pack on these
particular units will corrupt the unit.
Please Note: The Spanish (International) language pack includes the partially translated Quadro
GUI and voice messages.
