SYMPTOMS

When trying to update task status from "Dispatched" or "Active" to 'Pending' status in the Warehouse Control Board form
(WMSCTLBD), get the following message:

ERROR
-------------
"This group of tasks is currently being worked, cannot change the status."

STEPS
--------
1. Go to: Warehouse Management responsibility
2. Navigate to: Tasks > Manage Tasks
3. Choose the task type
4. Press 'Execute Now' button
5. Query Tasks screen again, see reported message.

CHANGES

CAUSE

There are Active tasks in the Group before updating the 'Dispatched' tasks.

UNRELEASED/PENDING

SOLUTION

There are two solution options to solve the status issue.

A. Modify the task status after the first task update.

1. Create book, release Sales Order.
2. Assign tasks to your user
3. Work on the first task.
4. Verify in Warehouse Control Board that the status of the first task is now 'Active' and the rest have a status of 'Dispatched'
5. Close the mobile session without logging out or let for your session to timeout
6. Verify that the status of the task remains unchanged, first task is 'Active' and the rest are 'Dispatched'
7. Wait a few minutes to make sure the mobile session is killed
8. Update the status of the 'Active' task first to 'Pending' or 'Unreleased'
9. Click 'Execute now', record is updated
10. Save the changes. Make sure that there are no Active tasks in the group before updating the 'Dispatched' tasks
11. Update the status of the 'Dispatched' task to 'Pending' or 'Unreleased'
12. Click 'Execute now' and save the changes
13. Verify that all the tasks have been updated successfully back to Pending.

B. Use form function parameter call RETAIN_DISPATCH_TASK.

If that is set to 'Y', the tasks will remain as Dispatched to the same user when pressing Ctrl + N. Otherwise, they will
automatically change back to Pending and any other user can perform the same task.
Use below steps:
1. Go to System Administrator > Application > Function
2. Query by the correct function name based on the navigation you use.
3. Select WMS_TASKS_INT_ACPT_MOB and go to Form Tab
4. Place the cursor in the Parameters field
5. Then go to Edit menu and click Edit Field
6. See current value as: PAGE_TYPE= DIRECTED_TASK UI=GENERAL TASK_FILTER=NONE TASK_METHOD= DISCRETE
7. Change it as: PAGE_TYPE=DIRECTED_TASK UI=GENERAL TASK_FILTER=NONE TASK_METHOD=DISCRETE
RETAIN_DISPATCH_TASK=Y
8. Bounce MWA (mobile Application) server.

Note:
This will work only if using the Tasks > Directed tasks > Directed Move > Accept any task.
If using Order Picking, you should set this for the form function = WMS_TASKS_OUT_ORDER_MOB. The navigation is:
Tasks > Directed Tasks > Outbound > Order.
It looks like this: PAGE_TYPE= DIRECTED_TASK UI=GENERAL TASK_FILTER=ALLOW_SO_IO TASK_METHOD=ORDERPICK
RETAIN_DISPATCHED_TASK=Y.
