RESEARCH QUESTIONS ( REVIEWER )
RESEARCH QUESTIONS ( REVIEWER )
CHAPTER 1:
GENERAL:
- Well, we all know how much social media is a part of our lives now,
especially for students like us. Seeing all those perfect images on Instagram
and TikTok, it got us thinking – how does this constant exposure affect how
we see ourselves? We wanted to understand if there’s a connection between
social media use and how students feel about their bodies.
4. What were other studies missing that you wanted to find out?
- While there’s a lot of research on social media and body image, we wanted
to focus specifically on senior high school students in our own school, Casay
National High School. We wanted to understand what platforms they use
most, how they feel about their bodies, and if there’s a connection between
their social media use and their body image concerns.
SPECIFIC:
- Our survey showed that… (Here, you would present the data on the most
popular social media platforms among your study participants).

CHAPTER 2:
GENERAL:
16. What were the most important things you learned from other
researchers?
SPECIFIC:
24. What did other studies say about how social media affects how
teenagers feel about their bodies?
- Previous studies have shown that social media exposure can lead to
increased body dissatisfaction, comparison behaviors, and negative
psychological effects among teenagers.
CRITICAL THINKING:
30. How did you make sure you were using the most recent
information?
- We used reputable academic databases and searched for recent
publications on social media and body image. We also looked for studies that
were relevant to our target population, which was senior high school
students.
CHAPTER 3:
GENERAL:

right questions?
35. How did you explain what the data showed you?
SPECIFIC:
38. How did you get the students to answer your survey?
- We administered the survey… (Here, you would explain your process for
administering the survey, such as whether it was conducted online or in
person, and how you ensured student participation).
- A total of… (Here, you would provide the total number of respondents in
your study).
40. What did you do if some students didn't answer all the
questions?
- We… (Here, you would discuss your approach to handling missing data,
such as using imputation methods or excluding incomplete responses from
your analysis).
CRITICAL THINKING:
43. What things might have made your study not completely
accurate?
- Our study has limitations, such as the reliance on self-reported data, the
potential for social desirability bias, and the generalizability of our findings to
other populations.
44. Do you think your results would be the same if you studied
different students?
- It’s possible that our results might differ if we studied a different group of
students. However, we believe that our findings provide valuable insights
into the experiences of senior high school students in our school and can
inform future research on this topic.
45. How did you make sure you treated the students in your study
fairly and respectfully?
GENERAL:
47. What did your study teach us about how social media affects
how people feel about their bodies?
- Our study suggests that… (Here, you would summarize your findings about
the impact of social media on body image, highlighting any specific patterns
or trends you observed).
SPECIFIC:

students in your study?
- Our survey showed that… (Here, you would present the data on the most
popular social media platforms among your study participants).
52. How did the students in your study say social media affected
how they feel about their bodies?
- Our survey revealed that… (Here, you would provide specific data from
your survey to answer this question, such as the percentage of students who
reported feeling pressured to look like influencers or who felt dissatisfied
with their own bodies after seeing idealized images on social media).
53. Was there a clear connection between how much students used
social media and how they felt about their bodies?
- Our statistical analysis showed… (Here, you would present your findings
about the relationship between social media use and body image, explaining
whether you found a significant correlation and the direction of that
correlation).
55. Did students who used social media more often feel differently
about their bodies than students who used it less often?
- Our analysis revealed that… (Here, you would present your findings about
the differences in body image perceptions between high social media users
and low social media users, explaining whether there were significant
differences and the direction of those differences).

Answer:
Answer: One of the most challenging parts of our research is ensuring the
accuracy and honesty of the responses from the students. Body image is a
sensitive topic, and students may be hesitant to provide truthful answers.
We have taken measures to ensure confidentiality and anonymity to
encourage honest responses, but it remains a challenge to overcome
potential response bias.

they be applied in real-world contexts?
Answer: The main thing we learned is that social media can have a big
impact on how students see their bodies.
19. How did the research setting (Casay National High School)
influence your findings?
Answer: The school setting might have influenced our results because it's
where the students spend a lot of their time.
Answer: Our findings might apply to other schools, but we'd need to do more
research to be sure.
