Potion, very rare


The carnival’s curse comes in many shapes and varieties – even though it is still unclear whether it can
be considered an actual potion per se. In fact, this weird looking philter seems to be a mutation of any
potion or beverage twisted and enchanted by being exposed to the wild magic of a critter carnival.
While the color, taste and smell of the original liquid remains unchanged, it gains strange additional
effects potentially leading to even greater chaos than the peculiar gathering of fey has already caused.
A potion imbued with the magic of a critter carnival resembles its original form but the flask is
strangely twisted and deformed.
When you drink this potion you gain the following effect in addition to the potion’s original effect.
Infectious wild magic flows through your body. Every 1d8 minutes and whenever you make an
ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, you have a 30 percent chance of triggering a random
magical effect by rolling on the Wild Magic Surge table in the PHB. When you trigger a magical
effect in this way, each creature within 30 feet of you has a 10 percent chance to gain the potion’s
effect. The potion’s effect lasts for 1 hour or until you triggered a random magical effect.
