1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 General term
This manual includes necessary contents, especially machine alignment and calibration, of when production and
installation of machine. The user must acknowledge the appropriate ways to protect oneself from the potential
danger that could occur at any time, and be aware of the condition of the product that can cause danger.

2. Device connection
2.1 PAPAYA_REC program and how to connect with the machine.

Before Alignment & Calibration, Check surely whether this equipment keeps horizontal by using a level, and
then do next steps.

[Figure 2.1 PAPAYA REC program]

1) “C:/GENORAY/PAPAYA”. Inside of the folder, find PAPAYA_REC.exe and execute the file.

In case of the using current Extor Detector, Only 'Extor(Laon)' of Use Detector Option is applied.
(Extor Imi is not available)

4) After execution of the machine alignment program, push [Connect]


button where it is located at middle upper side and connecting program with machine.

3. Device connection
3.1 PAPAYA_REC program and how to connect with the machine

1) After connecting with machine, refer to Figure 3.1 and choose Panoramic tab.

- How to remove the cover and Generator Driving is as follows:

Remove upper cover of driving.


On circled with red, remove bolts and remove cover by
pulling up.

Remove cover, following the steps. The removal method is as


below contents

After removing red circle and their bolts, and remove front
cover of where X-ray generator.

Before alignment of machine, on patient’s support part, and need to remove parts, in which are machine’s
cover and handle, and explains how to remove them.

- How to remove the cover Chinrest are as follows:

After removing bolts on red circles and remove the handle.

On red circle, remove indicated bolts and remove cover on that


parts.

4. Alignment & Calibration


4.1 Step1 : Gantry reference positioning

1) After preparing all preparation, set up Y-Axis starting point.


2) Machine’s OP and using machine’s [FORWARD], [BACKWARD] button and move machine’s Y-Axis to front and
back to match of indicated driving part’s and aluminium block for Y-axis, refer to Figure 4.1
3) Check kV offset figures written on x-ray tank, input the figures of [Exposure Condition Offset] in ⓑ.
4) Click [Set current position] in ⓒ, and then the position of Y axis is shown in the screen and saved to
equipment.

For checking kV offset figures on the X-ray generator, Take away X-ray generator part's cover first and

Check.

4.2 Step2 : Adjustment of center of rotation

This tool use for processing this stage

Theta Jig SD-Line Jig Ball Phantom

1) Fix Theta jig to driving side and fix with bolts


2) Then, installing ‘Theta jig block’ if because Y-Axis is coming front and rotating side and Theta jig
conflicts, and then using OP’s [BACKWARD] button and move Y-Axis to backward and make installation
3) On rotating part and ‘Theta jig block’ meets and parallel each other, and then push ⓐ [Set current
position] button and save current rotating side’s location by pushing button.

4) Ball phantom and SD-line jig is installed on machine


5) At this point, the home -wave excitation and installation carefully the face of the fixed part of the SD-
line jig to exactly match .
6) Once the installation is complete, Ball phantom of SD-line jig position of the jaw with the two screws that
secure the adjustable jaw helps to loosen

See the Figure below to align the SD-Line jig in the hall of the Ball phantom.

1) Adjusting as repeating below steps to align ‘Ball phantom’ and rotating axis’ location.
2) By pushing ⓐ [0°] button, making perpendicular between rotating part and driving part.
3) SD-line jig’s line and Ball phantom’s reference line need to be matched by turning Ball phantom
stage’s knob and move Ball phantom’s location.
4) ⓑ [180°] button need to be pressed and rotating part move to 180°.
5) If, at 0° location and 180° location, SD-line jig is not on same location, on 0° adjusted Ball phantom’s
reference line and at 180° location. ‘Ball phantom’s reference line and SD-line jig’s line that needs to be
located by turning each knob and locating them to the middle of ‘SD-line jig’s locations of 0° and 180°.
6) By repeating 1-4’s to reduce the error.

7) SD-line jig is located on machine’s rotating axis. SD-line jig line is at Ball phantom matching with appropriate
reference line and adjust chin-rest’s location and tighten chin-rest’s bolt. Then, need to be caution to not
move Ball phantom knob.
8) After chinrest is tightly fixed, again at ‘0°’, ‘90°’, ‘180°’ location, and checking ‘Ball phantom’ and ‘SD-line jig’ are
matching. If location is not matching, again chin-rest’s bolt need to be unscrew and adjusted.

4.3 Step3 : Collimator reference positioning

1) Click ⓐ [Find Collimator Offset] button


2) After clicking button, the machine is automatically finding for Collimator’s position by proceeding necessary
steps and displays ⓑ [Adult Panoramic collimator position]’s value
3) In this condition, click ⓒ [Set Offset & Get Image] button then X-ray is exposed and display an image. Then
distinguishing whether collimator’s is good position by checking with left illustrated picture.
4) Collimator well find that the position of the judge on the basis of ⓓ.

If Collimator’s position is well found, according to picture’s Good position, on image, by Collimator, X-ray’s

exposure’s limited area is almost same with left area and right area.

4.4 Step4 : Detector reference positioning

1) Click ⓐ [Rotate 0 ° & Get Image] button to expose X-ray and to get an X-rayed image.
2) Select line1 of ⓑ [Select Line] Combo box located on bottom of display window and then click the center of
the pin, imaged by X-ray exposure, then blue dashed line is being on the center of the pin.
3) Click ⓐ [Rotate 180 ° & Get Image] button to expose X-ray and to get an X-rayed image.
4) Select line2 of ⓑ [Select Line] Combo box located on bottom of display window and then click the center of
the pin, imaged by X-ray exposure, then yellow dashed line is being on the center of the pin.
5) Red line is being on the middle of two lines between blue and yellow line. Check whether the red line is
located inside of two green line or not (Pass/Fail information will be displayed).
6) If fail, refer to ⓔ then loosen screws marked with red circle and move the detector position left
or right and repeat 1-5 until Pass is displayed.

8) In the condition Pass in on, refer to Figure 4.8, join the red circled screws and put the detector c
over on.

4.5 Step5 : Detailed Offset Angle adjustment

1) Click ⓐ [Set angle and Get image] to expose X-ray and to get an X-rayed image of degree 90°.
2) Select blue line of ⓑ [Select Line] Combo box located on bottom of display window and then click the center
of the pin, imaged by X-ray exposure, then blue dashed line is being on the center of the pin
3) Select yellow line of ⓑ [Select Line] Combo box located on bottom of display window and then click the
center of the metal ball, imaged by X-ray exposure, then yellow dashed line is being on the center of the pin
4) Make a judgment of Pass/Fail. If failed, refer to Figure 4.9, then adjust ⓓ [Gantry rotation angle offset of 90°]
value slightly little. Repeat 1-4 until Pass is displayed

Change offset angle

- On the right : less than 15 pixels

- On the left : increase than 1pixels

4.6 Step6 : Panoramic Laser alignment

This tool use for processing this stage.

Laser Jig Ball Phantom

2) Ball phantom is installed on Chinrest
3) Laser jig is installed on Ball phantom
4) Install 'Laser Alignment jig' on the Ball phantom and adjust laser position, refer to Figure 4.10

4.7 Step7 : Panoramic Collimator alignment

1) Click ⓐ [Find Collimator Offset] button to find collimator position


2) Click ⓑ [Set Offset & get Image] button to expose X-ray and to get an X-rayed image.
3) Make a decision whether collimator position and shape is right or not, refer ⓒ. If the collimator is
rotated or sided to one side then refer to ⓓ image and adjust collimator position correctly, refer to
Figure 4.11
4) Judge whether it is Pass or Fail. If failed, repeat 1-3 until Pass is displayed.

If you find the wrong position Collimator , refer to the Recommended collimator 'move'
position value , Adult panoramic collimator position type .

4.8 Step8 : Panoramic Detector Calibration

4.8.1 Detector Model : Extor

1) Select the item in the Name Preset Option to ⓐ [PANO_PANORAMA].


2) Click the ⓑ [Check All] of X-Ray Option click the ⓒ [Exposure] button to shoot the X- ray .
3) After finishing an exposure, Avg.Level in ⓔ for whole image is shown, the sheets of images for Avg is shown
in the graph in ⓗ. If there is warming message of Saturation after getting Avg. figure, re-take an exposure by
lower condition following the manual.
4) Of X-Ray Option ⓓ [Ref.Level] Compare the value of Level
5) ⓔ [Avg.Level] value Ref. If within 30 Level ± the standard values ⓕ [... ] button to confirm saving path is
correct , click the ⓖ [Create] button.
5) If ⓔ [Avg.Level] value is greater than or less than ± 30 mA and kVp by changing the value of the X-Ray
position Adjust brought into tolerance.
6) ⓓ [Ref. Level] Align the reference value , click the ⓖ [Create] button shown in the Figure below, by the
Panorama Calibration Complete .
7) Once completed, you will be prompted to "Parameters are generated" as ⓗ of Figure 4.13.

If the gap between output value and initial value is lower than 50 → change mA value
If the gap between output value and initial value is higher than 50→ change kVp value

1) Ref Make sure that the Dark Ref. Level value is 0, Bright1 is 200, Bright2 is 800 and press 'Auto' button

4.10 Step10: How to check Panoramic Alignment & Calibration

This tool use for processing this stage

Ball Phantom

1) Fix “Ball Phantom” on the chinrest and click ⓐ [Confirm]


2) After Confirming, align canine laser to the frond reference side of ball Phantom by moving Y-axis
3) Click ⓒ [Ready & Shot] to take an image of Ball Phantom.
4) After getting an image of ball Phantom, the screen shows the image as Figure 4.15
5) Select the third line and draw four lines on the image.
6) After drawing four lines, If the message, marked 4, shows “PASS” three time, the panoramic alignment and
calibration will be finished.
7) If any “FAIL” message occurs, back to STEP2, STEP3, and STEP7 with instruction given.

Offset Overall , the offset value by manually entering all the conditions and X- ray equipment to the value
of the sort you want you can shoot a live video.

1) Click ⓑ [Dark on],
2) And you can get image with automatically set condition

This manual includes necessary contents, especially machine alignment and calibration, of when production and
installation of machine. The user must acknowledge the appropriate ways to protect oneself from the potential
danger that could occur at any time, and be aware of the condition of the product that can cause danger.

Before reviewing this Appendix 2, read “Appendix 1 Align & Calibration –Panoramic” and familiar with all
calibration steps first.

1) Preparing the Calibration Wizard appears when running a screen like Figure 3.3.
2) Refer to Figure 3.3 to remove the cover of the Cephalo.

Remove the top cover.


The position is marked with a red circle and remove the
screws to remove the cover and lift it up.

4.1 Step1 : Detector reference positioning

This tool use for processing this stage

Pin Jig

[Figure 4.1 Setting of refetence position of detector – Cephalo]

1) Match Detector Moving Block’s hole with the reference point of Cephalo Base as Figure 4.1
2) After then, make them to be aligned by the Pin Jig and then remove the Pin Jig. Select [Set current position]
3) When you click [Set current position] Result detector offset value will be appeared.
4) This value is a reference position of the detector.

3) After finishing an exposure, Avg.Level in ⓓ for whole image is shown, the sheets of images for Avg is shown in
the graph in ⓙ.
If there is warming message of Saturation after getting Avg. figure, re-take an exposure by lower condition
following the manual.
4) X-Ray Option ⓔ [Ref.Level] Compare the value of Level
5) The value ⓓ [Avg.Level] ⓔ [Ref.Level] If within 30 Level ± the standard values ⓕ [....] Click the Save button to
confirm the correct path, click ⓕ [Create] button.
6) If greater than or less than the value ⓓ [Avg.Level] ± 30 mA and kVp by changing the value of the X-Ray
position Adjust brought into tolerance.
7) Ref. Level Align the reference value shown in Figure 4.8 , click the Create button to complete the Cephalo
Calibration.
8) Once completed, you will be prompted to "Parameters are generated" as ⓗ

The Auto Save Raw Manage tab is divided by Panorama / Cephalo / CT like below.
Set the number of exposure list for the management in [Auto Save management] of PAPAYA OP Setting.

Keep informed this manual to use equipment effectively.

1) Find update file.


- Find binary file of remote update.
2) Check network connection.
3) Run remote control program after checking pc network connection for PAPAYA.

2. Run LisaTools

1) Move ‘LisaTools.exe’ to pc wallpaper of equipment’s pc.
