Project Title: "Shakespeare's The Tempest and the Nature of Power: Comparing Literary and Historical Leaders"
Project Description
This project will ask you to analyze key characters from Shakespeare's The Tempest and examine their personality
traits, focusing on their approaches to power, control, and ambition. Then, you will compare these traits with the
personalities and leadership styles of historical figures such as Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Joseph Stalin.
Your goal is to see how themes of power and manipulation appear in both literature and history and reflect on
how they shape leadership and society.
Presentation Requirements
Your presentation should be at least 8 slides long and include the following elements:
A relevant background image (could be a scene from The Tempest or images of the historical figures)
Briefly introduce The Tempest and its themes of power, authority, and control.
Provide a brief overview of the historical figures (Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin) and their influence in the 20th century.
