42. Akshat is a class 10 student. He went to his grandparent's home in a village. His grandfather took him
to the bank of a nearby river. Akshat was very happy to see the pollution-free village environment. He
was standing on the bank of the river observed that the angle of elevation of the top of a tree standing
on the opposite bank was 60∘. When he moved 30 metres away from the bank, he found the angle of
elevation to be 30∘.

Based on the provided information, answer the following questions –


a) Find the height of the tree.

43. A stable owner has four horses. He usually ties these horses with 7 m long rope to pegs at each corner
of a square shaped grass field of 20 m length, to graze in his farm. But tying with rope sometimes
results in injuries to his horses, so he decided to build fence around the area so that each horse can
graze. (Image below)

Based on the provided information, answer the following questions –


a) Find the area of the square shaped grass field. (1)
b) What is area of the field that is left ungrazed, if the length of the rope of each horse is 7 cm? (1)
c) If the length of the rope of each horse is increased from 7 m to 10 m, find the area grazed by one

44. The word circus has the same root as circle. In a closed circular area, various entertainment acts
including human skill and animal training are presented before the crowd. A circus tent is cylindrical
upto a height of 8 m and conical above it. The diameter of the base is 28 m and total height of tent is
18.5 m.

Based on the provided information, answer the following questions –


a) Find slant height of the conical part. (1)
b) Determine the floor area of the tent. (1)
