SPEECH ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

Immersed in the zeal and patriotic colours of the country, India will celebrate
78th Independence this year all across the nation. This momentous day, rooted in
the historic year of 1947, marks the culmination of a two-century-long struggle
against British rule and the nation’s journey from colonial subjugation to
complete sovereignty. With unwavering resolve, India proudly declared its
freedom, ushering in a new era of sovereignty and independence. As the
tricolour unfurls across the nation, Independence Day becomes a poignant
reminder of the sacrifices and resilience that forged the nation’s destiny . The
theme for Independence Day this year is- 'Viksit Bharat'. Aligned with the
government's vision, this year's theme emphasizes India's journey towards
becoming a developed nation by 2047, marking the centenary of independence.
It is needless to say how much significance the day holds for us, the day marks
the advent of a new era for our country, when we took staggering steps towards
the mostly unknown and wide modern world. In the span of 78 years, we have
come far in the path of progress and India has reclaimed her position as one of
the growth -oriented, leading nations of the world. On this Independence Day,
let us recommit ourselves to the ideals that make our country great. Let us
remember the sacrifices that have been made to protect our freedom. And let us
work together to build a better future for all Indians.
Indian Independence Day is a time to reflect on the meaning of freedom and
democracy. It is also a time to celebrate the diversity of our country. We are a
nation of many cultures and languages. We are a nation that is always striving to
be better. It is a day to reaffirm India’s commitment to democracy, secularism,
and social justice.
Today, as we gather to celebrate Independence Day, let us remember the
sacrifices made by our forefathers who fought tirelessly for our freedom.
Independence is not just about being free from external control; it is also about
unity and working together as a nation. Let us cherish the diversity that makes
our country rich and unique. As students, you are the future of this nation, and
your actions and ideas can shape our progress. So, let us take this day as an
opportunity to reflect on our responsibilities towards our country and work
towards making it even better.
Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.
