Dear Graduands,

I am happy to inform you that the 13th Convocation of the Institute will be held on 28th October 2024 in the Swatantrata
Bhawan, BHU to confer degrees on the students, who passed out in the academic session 20
2023-24 and also who passed out in
earlier years but the degrees have been conferred on them in the academic session 2023-24.

A full scale rehearsal of the function will be held a day earlier in the Swatantrata Bhawan. I emphasize that you must reach
the campus in advance well to participate in the rehearsal. Please note that the participation in the rehearsal is mandatory for
receiving your degree in person.

An online portal has been launched for you to register yourself for the award of degree. The link is

remain open till Monday, September 16,, 20

We expect your participation in the Convocation. However, even if, for some urgent reason you are not able to attend the
Convocation, you should register yourself through the portal.

The Convocation robes will be kurta-pyjma


pyjma or kurta
kurta-dhoti with sadri (jacket) and uttariaya for boys, and salwar - kamij
(kurta) or saree - blouse with sadri (jacket) and uttariya for girls. The uttariya will bear emblem of IIT(BHU). The kurta/
saree/ kamij (kurta)/ sadri (jacket) will be of cream colour and that of pyjama/ dhoti/ salwar/ blouse and uttariya will be of
white colour. Uttariya and sadri will be provided to you by the Institute. You will make your own arrangements for the
remaining parts of the robe. You will make an online payment of Rs. 1,500/- in advance towards the cost of uttariya,
uttariya sadri,
etc. This amount of Rs. 1500/- is non refundable. The procedure for online payment is given below:

Accommodation for you shall be available in hostels. You are therefore advised to send your requisition to the Chairman,
