The provided bar chart given the changes of distance that average people
travelled by modes of transportation in 1990 and 2000 in the UK.

A cursory examination of the graph reveals that there was a noticeable increase
in overall distance, primarily due to bus,rail and air travel. However, there was a
reversal in the trend for bicyle and motorbike. Both of those witnessed a decline
in figure.

As can be observed in the chart, the total passenger kilometers started at 100
billion kilometers. To 2000, it climbed to over 110 billion kilometers. Bus and
air travel was the most common modes of transport, showing a moderate
transport. In 1990, bus travel had a slight growth, with 40 to just above the
original number in 2000. Similarly, rail distance experienced an insignificant .
Air travel a dramatic rise, with the average distance travelled by passengers
more than doubling from around 2 in 1990 to 5 in 2000.

Conversely, there was a plunge in the use of bicyle and motorbike. The distance
travelled by bicyle go down from 4 in 1990 to roughly 2 in 2000, while that of
motorbike travel halved. Dropping from nearly 6 in 1990 to under 3 in 2000.
