Project Showcasing
(University, College, Polytechnic)

About

The world is already changing swiftly, but the rapid advancement of information
and technology has increased this speed. Acceptance of a variety of skill sets and
competencies is crucial for transformation and adaptation, which will ultimately
lead to increased efficiency. Because of this, the National Innovation
Competition 2024 –Technocrats V.2 gives you the chance to present some of
your original ideas and some of your hidden skills. It's also among the biggest
places in our country to hold exhibitions. This might be any significant and creative
science, technology, or engineering project you and your team worked on during
the pandemic. The project's base could consist of hardware, software, or a mix of
the two modalities. One may also certify that the project pertaining to the
revolution in electronic devices is innovative.

Eligibilities

• University (Undergraduate Level, Bachelor’s, Honor’s, Degree), College,


and Polytechnic students can apply to this segment.
• It should be a group project and each group contain 4 members consisting
of a group leader. A minimum of 2 members must be applied to join this
competition.
• There is no limit to the number of teams that one institution may register for
this competition.
• Students from different educational institutions can form a team.

Project Specification
• Projects should focus on a scientific or engineering topic that motivates the
team to complete it with the aid of research or similar experiences.
• The team must have produced all of the original work that is presented.
• Project must be unique and specified.
• Project must be related to software, hardware, or combined of these two
modalities.
• Electronic revolution devices are also accepted for showcasing.
• The project must have a specific objective to benefit from human needs.

Presentation Provision

• Participants shall be given a placement to setup their projects in the event.


• For the section where the initiative must be original and beneficial to the
advancement of our society and the globe, participants may select any field.
• Participants will be given a maximum 5-to-10-minute slot for a presentation
on the project.
• Participants may use a tri-fold poster board, or a regular poster board for
presenting the project on a poster, or may give a laptop presentation
(PowerPoint, Prezi, Slideshow, etc.).
• The team must bring all visual aids that will fit on the table. Each table will
have its outlet. Special requests for the area, power, etc. will be taken into
account on an individual basis. There won't be any projectors available, but
there might be screens if you ask for them.
• Teams will be judged by student competitors from the IIEC, Guest Judge,
and Technocrats V.2 -2024 panel. The presenter teams are required to stay
at their table for the entire allotted time. The presentation structure is totally
independent. Each team is responsible for creating a presentation that they
believe will best communicate their project to the judges.
• All data provided must be accounted for and properly cited from verified
sources.
• All work presented must be original work. Any academic offenses will count
as an elimination.

Grading Criteria

• 60 percent of the marks will be carried out on the research steps and
content of the project.
• 10 percent of the marks will be carried on speech delivery.
• 10 percent of the marks will be carried on the visual outlook or workability
of the project.
• 10 percent of the marks will be carried on teamwork and presentation skills.
• 10 percent of the marks will be carried on Q/A

Judgment

• Judging will be performed by the participants attending Technocrats V.2 as


well as the panel of judges, which will consist of IIEC professionals and
event sponsors. Judges will use an evaluation sheet that will be provided at
least two weeks in advance of the conference.
• Participants may vote for their desired team during the project showcase.
The method of voting will be announced at the beginning of the competition.
Each student is allowed a maximum of one vote.

Awards

• Champion will be given a price money of 30k along with crest and
certificates.
• Runner-Up will be given a price money of 20k along with crest and
certificates.
• 2nd Runner-Up will be given a price money of 15k along with crest and
certificates.

NOTE – The team Coordinator and Judge reserve the right to change the
rules at any point in time. The change will however be highlighted on the
website.
