GAME STRUCTURE
COMPOSITION

The structure and composition of a

video game involve various elements,
including gameplay, music, sound, and
visual art. Video games are typically
categorized based on their hardware
platform, such as arcade, console, or
PC games.
Game development encompasses the design of gameplay, rules, and narrative, as well as the integration
of music, sound effects, and graphics into the game. When it comes to composing music for video
games, it is essential to create thematic and incidental music that enhances the gameplay experience

Composing music for video games is unique in that it requires the creation of interactive music that can
adapt to the player's actions and the game's dynamics

Overall, the structure and composition of a video game involve a multidisciplinary approach, integrating
various elements to create an immersive and engaging experience for players.
Quests to complete missions

Video game missions, also known as quests, are tasks that

player-controlled characters, parties, or groups of
characters may complete in order to gain rewards.

Quests are most commonly seen in role-playing games

and massively multiplayer online games.

Rewards for completing quests can include loot such as

items or in-game currency, access to new level locations
or areas, an increase in the character's experience to
learn new skills and abilities, or any combination of the
above
Basically, they are tasks or challenges that players must
undertake to progress through a game or achieve specific
goals. These quests can be found in various games and offer
rewards for completion. They can be designed for single
players or cooperative groups and can involve a single step
or multiple steps.
In Fortnite Save the World, there
are "Mission Accomplished"
quests, which are a series of 20
tiers that require players to
successfully complete a certain
number of missions. Each tier
rewards 50 V-Bucks (game's local
currency).

Additionally, there are quests for

successfully completing a certain
number of storm shield
defenses/endurances.
Quests can be designed for single
players or cooperative groups, and they
can involve a single step or multiple
steps.

They can be used to guide players

through a game, provide education, or
encourage specific gameplay behaviors.

Some quests may require players to

complete tasks in a specific order, while
others may allow for more flexibility in
task completion.
Concept - Evil
The concept of evil is often explored in
video games, with some games allowing
players to make evil choices for pleasure.
However, many players find it difficult to
make evil choices and tend to gravitate
towards the good. One example of a game
with serious evil choices is Star Wars:
Knights of the Old Republic, where players
can force a character to kill their
companion.
Concept - Partner

The concept of an in-game partner in a

video game can enhance the gaming
experience by allowing players to
cooperate, strategize, and achieve
common goals. This can be achieved
through in-game character assistance,
cooperative gameplay, or shared
objectives.
Game partners can strengthen
relationships and deepen bonds
between players, as evidenced by
the link between playing video
games together and better
relationship satisfaction.
Non Verbals

Nonverbal communication in video games refers to the use of gestures,

emotes, and other nonverbal cues to convey messages and emotions
between players or between players and the game itself. Some games, such
as Destiny, have incorporated emotes as a way for players to communicate
hidden objectives or express themselves in public spaces where voice chat is
not allowed.
Other games, such as Sky Light Awaits, have
made nonverbal communication a central
mechanic, with players collecting emotes to
act out and convey messages to other
players. Nonverbal communication also plays
a role in team coordination in online
competitive multiplayer games
Goal Achievement Parameter
In video gaming, an achievement (or a
trophy) is a meta-goal defined outside
a game's parameters, a digital reward
that signifies a player's mastery of a
specific task or challenge within a video
game. Achievements are included
within games to extend the title's
longevity and provide players with
additional challenges. They are
effectively arbitrary challenges laid out
by the developer to be met by the
player.
Achievements can be used to track
what a player has done in a game
and to give the player recognition for
their accomplishments.They can be
earned by completing various tasks,
such as beating levels, collecting
items, or performing specific actions
within the game. When a player
meets or exceeds the goal, the
achievement is considered earned,
and the player is rewarded.
Achievements can also be designed to provide a variety of different goals for
players to strive towards, which can help keep them engaged and motivated
to continue playing the game. They can also be tailored to different skill
levels, with some achievements requiring more skill or dedication than
others.
