i. The fog comes to the city stealthily just like a cat on its little feet. A cat usually sits with
bended knees and looks around, just like a cat the fog spreads over the harbour of the city

away.

after sheep instead of the fox that had to be hunted.

mortals. He compares death to the earthen vessels made by a potter which will sooner or
later end up being broken. He further says that only those who have become composed
and accepted death can be free from suffering.

LONG ANSWER

i. Truly, people should try to live within their means. Human beings can never be happy
if they have limitless desires and wants. This is illustrated by the character of Matilda.
She was not satisfied with her own life and had always wanted to lead a royal life. For
this, she had borrowed a necklace from her friend which she wore at the day of the
ball. After the ball when they reached their apartment, she realised that she had lost
the necklace.so they decided to buy a replacement in a shop of the Palais-Royal
which they got for thirty-six thousand francs. After this incident Matilda and her
husband had to live the horrible life of necessity. They sent away the maid and rented
some rooms in an attic. She had to do all the household works and her husband
worked extra hours to pay back the debt.
ii. Truly, the influence of a good teacher can never be erased. This is illustrated by
Bholi’s teacher. While Bholi was dejected by everyone including her parents, she
recognized Bholi’s imaginative brain and encouraged her to keep learning. She
helped Bholi in overcoming her stammering. Her teacher treated her with kindness,
patience, and encouragement, helping her feel valued for the first time. She
reassured Bholi, spoke gently, and motivated her to express herself without fear of
ridicule.

Over time, Bholi gained confidence, started excelling in her studies, and realized her
own worth. The teacher’s nurturing guidance and belief in her potential inspired
Bholi to overcome her fears and emerge as a self-assured and bold girl capable of
standing up for herself.
