Software setup:

1. Configuration of rack 1
a. Switch off Master CPU module (Rack 1)
b. Plug in the handheld on Master CPU module (with S-IPC only at initiation)
c. Setup the latest software-version „NWControl“
i. Copy latest version (only folder „NWControl“) to main directory of an USB
flash drive. (e.g.: directory-tree of USB flash drive at device F:\):

ii. Execute file „ConfigUsb.exe“ (ON the USB flash drive!) to configure the USB
flash drive for a update (Choice „1“)
iii. Plug USB flash drive into CPU module (X6 USB)
d. Switch on Master CPU module, wait for update- and boot-sequence (ca. 60
seconds)
e. Start-up screen with software-version, check it!
(Afterwards the main menu will be displayed.)

f. Only software-update:
i. Repeat step 1 for all racks.
ii. -> step 5
g. Initiation:
i. -> step 2

2. Only systems with more than 7 Actuators!

-> configure other racks
a. Switch off Slave CPU module (rack 2 up to 9)
b. Plug in the handheld on Slave CPU module

the Ethernet connection will be tested automatically

i. Communication test successful: step 3.c.
ii. Communication test not successful:
- Are all CPU modules switch on and configured right (step 2.)?
- Ethernet cables connected?
- Correct Ethernet cable? (Direct connection of 2 CPU modules: crossed
Ethernet cable. Usage of a switch: Standard Ethernet cable.)
c. Exit the screen (soft key F1) and save changes.

4. Actuator configuration of the system

a. Handheld (up to 7 AC):
i. Open Screen:
Main menu -> Service -> Initiation -> No. AC „edit “

(for DIP switches look at electrical drawings)
- CAN-bus cable connected correctly?
- Terminating resistor on the last Actuator?
b. Perform home position drive (single and grouped)
c. Move actuators single and grouped
d. (Perform force calibration)

6. inspection sheet

7. Read out the parameter-settings with laptop (if necessary)

a. Setup the Ethernet connection between Master CPU module and laptop
i. Use a crossed Ethernet cable for a direct connection between Laptop and
Master CPU module
if a touch is connected use X7 ETH1
else use X8 ETH2
ii. Manually set the IP-Address on the Laptop
