Android Courier App Installation Instructions


For Version Information please refer to COL
NOTE: Before starting the Installation, if you have previously used any version of the
Courier App please ensure you have completed the full “End of Day and Logout” process,
it is also recommended that you have a fully charged battery and are connected to Wi-Fi
prior to commencing the upgrade

Installation instructions for Android 9,10 & 11


Please open your Camera on your device
and point it at the QR Code opposite.

Alternatively you can click the link opposite

On certain versions of Android the above


process may not work, if this is the case
then:

1. Open your Internet Browser on 1.amazonaws.com/releases/hermes/latest
your Device (ie Google Chrome,
/CPIK_TRUE_BYOD/android.html
Firefox, Samsung Internet etc.) and
ensure all of your internet
tabs/pages are closed and re-scan
the QR code.

2. If step 1 still doesn’t work then


copy this URL and paste it into your
Internet Browser

Click the ‘Download’ button to start the


process and the App will start to Download

When downloading is complete click ‘Open’

If it gives you an option to ‘Open with..’


then select Package Installer and click ‘Just
Once’

If your phone has disabled downloading


Apps from unknown sources, you will get
this message – Click ‘Settings’

Click the Button next to ‘Unknown Sources’


to move it to the right and enable and then
click the back button at the top of the
screen

Click ‘INSTALL’ to start the installation.

The App will now install – please note this


may take several minutes

Once the Install is complete click ‘Open’ to


launch the App.

You will now be asked permission for the


Cognito App to access certain functions of
your phone (PLEASE NOTE the App will only
access these functions for business
purposes and no personal data will be
accessed, monitored or downloaded)

Click ‘Accept All’

You will now be asked to enable various


functions of the phone, by Allowing these it
will enable the Cognito Application to fully
function. Please Note: no personal data will
be accessed and any data gathered will be
exclusively used by the Cognito App.

Click ‘Allow’

Click ‘Allow’

Click ‘Allow all the time’ , again Location


will only be accessed via the Cognito App
and for business purposes only.

Click ‘Allow’

Click ‘Allow’

You may see this message, this will enable


future updates to the App – click ‘OK’

Allow from this source – then click the back


button at the top of the screen

The App will now start, when prompted,


sign into the App using your Courier ID &
PIN

Click ‘Agree’ to the Terms & Conditions

The latest Application & Workflow will now


install, this may take several minutes, once
complete you are good to go.

At this point the Workflow may need


restarting, please click ‘OK’

When prompted, sign into the App again


using your Courier ID & PIN

If you should get this message then just


click ‘OK’, Messaging will be automatically
enabled when it becomes available.

You are now good to go.
