Basics
Upload file/image: File>Place embedded
Resize image without distortion: Shift+Drag
To rearrange view of all tabs: Window>Arrange
Find your files in more organized way: File>Browse in Bridge
Easiest Navigation: Z+tick off Scrubby Zoom in Options bar
Alternate Navigation: Z+Alt, Alt to switch between zooming in and out
Navigator: H or use it as a windows tab
Rotating view: R (+Shift for specific angle based on compass) Esc to leave.
Change screen view: F
To allow pixels to not be deleted after cropping: Crop tool C+tick off delete cropped pixels
Free crop: W x H x Resolution
Increase canvas size: Image>Canvas size>tick off relative>put in values eg 100x100>choose
color
Straighten an image: Crop tool>Straighten tool>create a line so tool can straighten image
Choose object and go on the layer objects on: Ctrl+Click
Select multiple layers: CTRL+Select layers (For things on layer>CMD+Shift+Click)
To color within whats already colored: Lock transparent pixels button in layers window
To change brush stroke fast: Click+Alt+Right click, drag up or down for hardness and sideways
for size.
Custom brush: Edit>Define Brush Preset
Draw straight lines: Shift key (can connect dots)
Swap colors: X
Sample color: Alt/option on brush tool
Color wheel: Alt+Shift+Right click+Hold
Color: Recolors line art, Multiply: Blend option
White background/clear background: CTRL+backspace
Duplicate current selection or layer: Alt/option on move tool
Merge shapes/paths:CTRL+E
Drag with path selection tool to duplicate paths/shapes: Alt+Click+Drag
Sample color for selected vector: Double click vector layer and choose color
CTRL key and drag corners to distort photo
CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+Drag a corner: Perspective distort
Alt+Backspace to fill a selection with foreground color
Shift+Click=Add to selection (magic wand tool) Alt+Click=Remove from selection
Double click mask to refine edges, Alt click on mask to see black and white, dodge (to see
details) and burn tool (to not see details)
