Maths Week Ganit Gyanam-1
‘Mathematics is the language with which God has written the universe’
This celebration aims to promote Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving, encourage team work & an
opportunity to connect class room learning with the real world. Not only this, children will get to know
about the contribution of various Mathematicians.

Classes VI – XII: Special assembly on the occasion of Ramanujan Day highlighting the achievements of
Ramanujan & relevance of mathematics in everyday life.
Class III - V: Multiplication Battle using Playing Cards (children can carry a pack of card to school )
school). Details of activity will be shared by Teachers in the class. This activity will help children building
multiplication fluency, skill of team work, focus & concentration

Classes VI to VIII: Snowflake making – Fractals (Students will apply geometric concepts, such as
symmetry, reflection, and rotation, to create snowflake designs). Students will also write concept they have
used to make fractals.

Class III – V: Multiplication 4 in a line. Each child must carry dice from home.
Details of activity will be shared by Maths Teachers in the class. This activity will help children master
Multiplication fact, pattern recognition ,team work & patience.

Class III to XII: Offline Quiz for grades 3 to 5 & online for gardes 6 onwards Quiz (Students will
demonstrate problem solving & mathematical reasoning skills though quiz)

Class V: Scavenger Hunt will help children master problem solving & build life skill of patience &
observaton. This activity aims at building measurement & estimation skills along with logical thinking.
Classes VI to IX & XI: Maths Crossword (Students will learn and apply mathematical vocabulary,
including terms related to numbers, operations, geometry, and measurement)
We encourage all students to actively participate and enjoy this week of mathematical exploration. Whether
