Creating Geo Map
▪ SAP Analytics Cloud provides you with the ability to blend information from multiple sources.
• For example, you could leverage data from SAP BW and join your actual data with your forecast that is
coming to you in form of an Excel spreadsheet and then create a combined view and leverage this
combination in charts or tables.
▪ SAP Analytics Cloud provides two main approaches:
• Browser based Blending and SDI (Smart Data Integration) Based data blending – or to use different terms,
client-side vs server side.
Link 2 models with ‘Linked Dimensions’ Concept and select your fields and data (Primary, Secondary). Sample screens below:
Step 1
Select a chart and open Linked Analysis in
the chart action bar.
Step 2
Choose the All Widgets on this Page option
and activate the Filter on Data Point
Selection, which will allow users to only have
to click on a data point to filter down all the
other charts. Click Apply. 2
Step 3
Select any data point in the chart and notice how other charts are filtered based on your selection.
Before After
‘Combine Data’ option is available while creating a new model. This allows you to combine two to five data
sources at the model level.
▪ You can create stories with visualizations using data from multiple models and datasets.
▪ Blending models lets you join a primary data source with secondary data sources that contain
common linked dimensions. For example, you can blend data from a corporate data source with
data from a local spreadsheet, or blend data from a public model with data from a private model
derived from a dataset's integration into a story. Blending can be done within individual tables
and charts.
▪ You can blend data between models that are based on imported data stored in SAP Analytics
Cloud, without needing any blending-specific prerequisites or setup.
▪ Data blending with models based on live data is also supported for specific SAP data sources,
but does require additional prerequisites and setup.
▪ Comparing data of actuals from a corporate SAP source with plans stored from a non-SAP
source.
▪ Comparing sales results against market benchmarks, or marketing campaign results available in
.csv files, or data provided by a 3rd party consulting firm.
▪ Creating custom calculations based on key performance indicators from different data models
like public census data.
▪ Using Smart Predict to output predictions in a dataset, and blend these predictions with other
data sources, in the context of a story.
SAP Analytics Cloud provides you with the ability to blend information from multiple sources.
For example you could leverage data from SAP BW and join your actual data with your forecast
that is coming to you in form of an Excel spreadsheet and then create a combined view and
leverage this combination in charts or tables.
Browser based Blending is normally recommended for scenarios where you don’t need to combine
large data set, but instead the focus is more on smaller data sets.
Browser based blending doesn’t require any additional hardware, nor does it require any additional
setup.
But browser based blending has its limits in regards to the data volume:
• Blending between a live data model from SAP BW, and a data model based on imported data.
• Blending between a live data model from SAP S/4HANA (on-premise), and a data model based
on imported data.
• Blending between a live data model from SAP HANA (on-premise), and a data model based on
imported data.
In case you do have the need to blend larger data volumes and you see the need to go beyond the
limits mentioned previously, you can configure the SDI (Smart Data Integration) based blending for
SAP Analytics Cloud.
In this case you will configure the SAP Data Provisioning Agent and point the Data Provisioning
Agent on the one hand towards your SAP HANA environment and on the other hand towards your
SAP Analytics Cloud environment.
The Home screen provides access points to all functionality within the solution and to all reports.
Home screen is private and you can't share it with other users or add it to discussions.

Scheduling Publications
Starting in QRC-Q2, you can schedule SAP Analytics Cloud Stories and Analytic Applications
and as a PDF attachment.
▪ Deliver to different users and teams in SAP Analytics Cloud via email.
▪ Specify schedule frequency for recurring schedules.
▪ Schedule with personalization to batch users using bookmarks.
▪ Schedule stories for both Acquired and Live data connections.
▪ Scheduling Publications is available only for tenants on Cloud Foundry (AWS).
Schedule Publications are not turned on by default so a user with Admin rights will need to toggle
on “Allow Schedule Publications” in System Administration Panel.
Additionally, you can allow your schedules to be sent over to Non-SAC users by toggling “Allow
Schedule Publication to non-SAC users”
The SAC administrator might want to consider creating a custom role that combines both sets
of rights and apply this role to those users who need to create Schedule Publications.
Schedule Publication is a simple 2 stage process, the first stage defines the structure of the
Email and the second defines which users are going to receive what personalized content view
(bookmarks) of the story.
▪ You can set the recurrence pattern of Every X hours, Every X days or a combination of specified
days every X weeks, all at a specific time.
▪ You can distribute the story to either SAC users, SAC Team(s). Every publication generated can
be sent to all SAC users in the Tenant , However , when it comes to a user who is not registered
with SAC Tenant ‘Non-SAC users’, there is a limit of max THREE Non SAC users who can
receive the publications. SAC Help – Create Teams
▪ A single Scheduled Publication can be used to send tailored content to different groups of users
by using multiple “Views”. Each view can tailor the data by using either a Global Bookmark or
My Bookmark that have been defined in the story. SAC Help – Bookmarks in Stories
▪ The maximum mail delivery size allowed per email including attachment is 12Mb
▪ There is a maximum limit to the number of Schedule Publications allowed based on the number
of SAC licenses in that tenant.
Step 1
Select the story or analytical application under the
browse files and choose the option under share –
schedule publications.
Alternatively, open a story and under share option select
schedule publication.

Step 4 4
Provide a name for the export job. If
desired, Audit Data can also be included in
this step. Click Export.
Note: Audit Data denotes all data changes
that were performed on a planning model.
Step 5 5
A progress bar will be shown to inform
user about current status of the job.
For each object, an indicator will show if
the export was successful or not.
After successful run of the export job, the
file will be automatically downloaded.
Step 1
Click Upload icon to upload the package first.
Step 2
Click on the + icon to create the import job itself.
A progress bar and status bar will show details of successful processes or
errors that occurred.
When importing data into SAP Analytics Cloud, technical names and
descriptions will be maintained as they were exported.
• Package Transportation
• You can export content from your system and store it on SAP servers so that other SAP Analytics Cloud
instances can retrieve it. You can also access content packages that were exported in the past or content
that was shared by other tenants.
Step 1
Here you can export content packages to privately share with other tenants and manage packages already
exported:
For exporting a new package, you can search for the public files you want to export or browse the folder
structure:
Step 2
▪ When a file is selected, you need to enter a name, summary and description for the package.
▪ If you want to include terms and conditions of use, you need to explain the conditions in the package
description.
▪ Next you need to select the Category and the location.
▪ Note: If you only have access to “My content” category is because you need proper authorisation to
publish to public areas of the Content Network.
After that, clicking Next you will access the Review and Export Phase.

▪ For third-party content, you must accept both SAP app center terms and conditions and the partner-specific
terms and conditions.
Step 3
Next, in the Import options we need to choose what to do when the content to be imported contains duplicates
of objects that already exists in the system.
▪ By default are set not to overwrite existing objects or data.
▪ Option available to overwrite data only, which overwrite data without making changes to the structure of
models.
▪ Option to overwrite both objects and data.
The five models contained in the Usage Tracking Content package is what allows you to connect to the
backend of your system.
