Q10 . Question number 10 is Assertion and Reason based questions carrying 1 (1)
mark. Two statements are given, one labelled as Assertion (A) and the other
is labelled as Reason (R). Select the correct answer to these questions from
the codes (A), (B), (C) and (D) as given below:
(A) Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are true and Reason (R) is the correct
explanation of the Assertion (A).
(B) Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are true, but Reason (R) is not the
correct explanation of the Assertion (A).
(C) Assertion (A) is true, but Reason (R) is false.
(D) Assertion (A) is false, but Reason (R) is true.
Assertion (A): The probability of getting exactly one head in tossing a pair of
1
coins is 2
.
Reason (R): The sample space of two coins tossed together = {HH, TT, HT,
TH}

Q14 . A tent is in the shape of a cylinder surmounted by a conical top. If the (3)
height and diameter of the cylindrical part are 2.1 m and 4 m, respectively,
and the slant height of the top is 2.8 m, find the area of the canvas used for
making the tent. Also, find the cost of the canvas of the tent at the rate of
Rs 500 per m². (Note that the base of the tent will not be covered with
canvas.)

Less than 10 10
Less than 15 25
Less than 20 49
Less than 25 65
Less than 30 73
Less than 35 78
Less than 40 80
Calculate the median marks of the above data.
