Inspection Time!!
(Performance Task)
Direction: Since being safe and protected is the
number one GOAL of every family, let us conduct
an ocular inspection of the school
• Follow the steps below:
1. Tour around your school and assess if there is/ are hazards observed
2. As much as possible, make a list of all the hazards that you will be
observed.
3. Using all the hazards that you listed, determine what could be the
possible events that may put you and community at risks.
4. Who among groups are prone or susceptible to the listed hazards?
5. Identify the reasons why that member is vulnerable.
Activity 2 : Nick and Gary(Performance Task)
Vulnerability in Disaster
Objectives:

• discuss how population density and capacity to mitigate and


rehabilitate could affect the level of vulnerability of the
different sectors;
• deliver possible solutions in making the different sectors of
the community to become less vulnerable; and
• recognize the importance of knowing one’s capacity and
population density in community mitigation and
rehabilitation.

hazards?
• Are the gates working and can be easily opened
in case of emergency?

• Do you practice emergency escape thru drills? Are
there designated areas for the students to go to so
that the teachers will be able to check if there are
missing students?
• Do you think your school is highly capable of making
sure of the safety of their learners? Explain why.
• What do you think are the possible factors considered
by the DRRM coordinator of your school in preparing
your school in times of emergency?
