sanctioned by Karate Sports Federation, Inc. (KPSFI).

a. Required Kata: TAIKYOKU, HEIAN (Shodan and Nidan), PINAN (Shodan and Nidan), GEKISAI ICHI, JONO KATA

C. INTERMEDIATE (Green Belt to Purple Belt)

 All ages must be as of respective date of competition, 27, November 2024.

 Events may be consolidated depending upon number of entries.

VI. COMPETITORS

2ND DINAGYANG KARATEDO CHAMPIOSHIP 2024 is open to all KPSFI members and all Karate Teams/ Clubs/
Societies/ Associations/ Organizations within the Philippines.

VII. SAFETY GEAR / EQUIPMENT

1. WEARING OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT IS MANDATORY.

a. World Karate Federation (WKF) approved GLOVES, MOUTH/GUM SHIELD, BODY PROTECTION PLUS
CHEST PROTECTOR (for female players), SHIN PAD/GUARD, and FOOT PROTECTION must be worn on all
Kumite categories.

 In the event that the instep protectors and shin guard are too big for 11Under, the Organizing
Committee will allow its removal upon the approval of the referee commission.

b. All participants must provide their own WKF-approved protective gears. The Organizing Committee is
not in-charge of providing these gears to the players.

c. Groin guards are not mandated, but if worn, must be of WKF approved type.
 VIII. TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS – GENERAL

WKF Rules, January 2023 with local revision, must be followed during the competition.
Duration of Bout (Note: Local revision may apply depending on the number of participants)-

a. Senior – Kumite match will be three (2) minutes for male and female.

b. Cadet and Junior – Kumite match will be one and one-half (1.5) minutes for male and female.

c. U13 – Kumite match will be one and one-half (1.5) minutes for male and female.

Note: Duration of bout may be changed depending on the number of participants.

IX. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS; COACHES

This Tournament shall be officiated and run by technical officials, referees, and judges qualified and duly
accredited and licensed by Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation, Inc. (KPSFI).

X. TOURNAMENT AND OTHER FEES

A. ENTRY FEES

1. Individual Categories: PHP 500.00 per player per category

2. Team Categories:

a. PHP1,500 (MALE) per team per category

b. PHP 1,200 (FEMALE) per team per category

B. ACCOMMODATION; MEAL; TRASPORTATION

Accommodations, meals, transportation and other expenses that will be incurred during their stay in Iloilo shall be
shouldered by the respective club, team or association.

C. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ENTRY/IES AND PAYMENT OF FEE

All necessary documents and entry forms must be submitted and must be duly received by the Organizing Committee on
or before 22nd January 2024.

Payment of entry and other fees must be remitted / deposited to designated account and proof of payment/remittance
thereto must be forwarded to the Committee on or before 22nd January 2024.

XII. INSURANCE

The participants are responsible to arrange for their own insurance. In case of injury or accident occurred from the
competition, the contestants cannot claim any compensation from the Organizing Committee. The Committee, however,
provides stand-by highly trained medical team to attend to in case of emergency.
