Class 10 CBSE Mathematics Question Paper (2025) - 80 Marks (Set 3)

General Instructions:

1. All questions are compulsory.

2. The question paper consists of 30 questions divided into four sections A, B, C, and D.

3. Marks are indicated against each question.

4. Use of a calculator is not permitted.

Section A (1 mark each)

1. Find the value of sin(45 degrees) - cos(45 degrees).

2. Write the first three terms of the AP where a = 3 and d = 5.

3. Find the distance of the point (3, 4) from the origin.

4. Find the value of k if x = 2 is a root of the equation x^2 - kx + 2 = 0.

5. Evaluate sec^2(30 degrees) - tan^2(30 degrees).

Section B (2 marks each)

6. Show that any positive odd integer is of the form 6q + 1, 6q + 3, or 6q + 5.

7. The nth term of an AP is given by a_n = 3n + 1. Find the first term and the common difference.

8. A die is rolled. Find the probability of: (a) An even number. (b) A number greater than 4.

9. Solve for x: x^2 - 7x + 10 = 0.

10. If cos(A) = 3/5, find sin(A) and tan(A).

11. Find the coordinates of the centroid of a triangle whose vertices are (1, 2), (3, 4), and (5, 6).

Section C (3 marks each)

12. Prove: 1 - sin^2(A) = cos^2(A).

13. Solve: x + y = 10 and 2x - y = 1 graphically.

14. A well of diameter 14 m is dug to a depth of 10 m. Find the volume of the earth dug out.

15. Prove that sqrt(3) is an irrational number.


16. Find the median of the following data:

20. Draw the graph of y = x^2 + x - 6 and find its roots.

22. Find the sum of all even numbers between 1 and 101.

23. A sphere of radius 7 cm is melted and recast into smaller spheres of radius 1 cm. Find the

number of smaller spheres.

24. Two tangents are drawn to a circle of radius 8 cm from a point 17 cm away from its center. Find

the length of each tangent.

25. Prove: tan(A) + cot(A) = sec(A) * csc(A).

26. Solve for x: 2x^2 - 5x - 3 = 0.

27. A solid cylinder has a radius of 7 cm and a height of 20 cm. Find its total surface area and

volume.

28. A man observes the top of a tower at an angle of elevation of 45 degrees. If the height of the

tower is 30 m, find the distance of the man from the base of the tower.
29. A card is drawn from a well-shuffled pack of 52 cards. Find the probability of:

(a) A red king. (b) A face card. (c) A card that is not a spade.
