Applications are invited online only by One Time Registration from qualified male candidates to the
undermentioned post in the governemnt service through the official website of Kerala Public Service
Commission ( www.keralapsc.gov.in.) after one time registration. Candidates who have already registered can
apply through their profile. Candidates who have aadhar card should add it as ID proof in their profile.
Direct Recruitment

Driver)
3. Scale of Pay : ₹ 26500 - 60700/-

4 Number of vacancies : 13

Note : (i) 50% of the vacancies of the post shall be filled up by

direct recruitment and 50% by transfer in the ratio 1:1 .
In the absence of qualified candidates under By Transfer
category those vacancies shall also be filled up by direct
recruitment. Candidates should submit separate
application for Direct recruitment and by transfer
recruitment.
(ii) Women and Differently Abled persons are not eligible to
apply for this Post.

(iii) The name , age limit and Qualification of this post has
been prescribed as per the provisions included in
GO(P)NO.89/2014/Home dtd 06.05.2014,
G.O(P)No.266/2010/Home dtd 09.12.2010 and
GO(P)No.337/2012/Home dtd 28.12.2012.
(iv) Separate Ranked list will be prepared for Direct
recruitment and by transfer recruitment. The Ranked
lists thus prepared and published by the Commission,
shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year,
subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to
be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry
of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of
three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be
advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies
and also against the vacancies, if any reported during the
currency of the lists.

5. Method of appointment Direct Recruitment (Statewide)

6. Age limit 18-39, Candidates should born between 02.01.1985 and

01.01.2006 (both dates included) Other Backward
Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual
age relaxation.
7. Qualifications:- : (a) Educational Qualifications:
 SSLC or its equivalent
(i) Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is
applicable.
(ii) In addition to the qualification specified in the
Notification, the qualification declared by Government
through executive orders or standing orders, as
equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification
and the higher qualifications of the notified and
prescribed basic qualifications shall be accepted. The
Government Order regarding the equivalent
qualification/higher qualification shall be produced as
and when called for by the Commission.

(b) Physical Qualifications:

(i) Must have at least 165 cm height and must be minimum
81.3 cms round the chest on full exhalation and must
have a minimum chest expansion of 5 cms
Note:- Height of 160 cms will be sufficient for the
candidates belonging to SC and ST.
(ii) Eye sight:-

Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified

below without glasses.

Note:

1) Each eye must have full field of vision. Colour

blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the
eyes or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a
disqualification.
2) Must be free from apparent physical defects like
knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs,
deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth,
defective speech and hearing.

(c) Should qualify in at least five out of the following eight

items.

Note: (i) The Physical measurement of candidates will

be taken at the time of Physical Efficiency Test and those
who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement
will not be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test. If
accidents or injuries happened to a candidate while
participating in the Physical Efficiency Test and
Practical Test, he will not be given further chance to
participate in the test.
(ii) The tentative schedule for Physical Measurement &
Physical Efficiency Test will be published on 2025
January 15.
(d) Should possess a current Heavy passenger vehicle and
Heavy goods vehicle Driving Licence with badge –
Proficiency in driving shall be ascertained by a practical
test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission.
Note:

1. Possession of Licence for driving Motor cycle shall

be a desirable qualification
2. Candidates should possess a current valid Driving
Licence on the entire stage of selection process as
on the last date of receipt of application, OMR Test,
Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test, interview
etc.
3. Candidate should produce medical certificates of
eye sight and physique in the proforma as shown
below at the time of Physical Efficiency Test and
also these should be uploaded in their profile for
verification.

ailment likely to affect his efficiency ?

3. Does the applicant suffer from any heart or lungs disorder which might interfere with the

4. Does the applicant suffer from any degree of deafness, which would prevent him hearing the
ordinary sound signals ? Is his hearing perfect ?

5. Has the applicant any deformity or loss of finger, which would interfere with the efficient
performance of his duties as an Assistant Prison Officer cum Driver (Warder Driver)?
 6. State of Muscles and Joints (No paralysis and all joints with free movements)

7. State of Nervous System (Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases)

8. Does he show any evidence of being addicted to the extensive use of alcohol, tobacco or drinks?

Note: Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and
vague statement such as Vision Normal/good/average will not be accepted. Specification for each eye should
be stated separately. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the officer issuing the Certificate should
certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision as the case may
be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.

8. Mode of submitting applications:-

(a) Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of
Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates
who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and Password.
Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to
apply for a post. Those candidates who create new profile should upload their photograph taken
within six months. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed
legibly at the bottom portion of the photograph. The photograph once uploaded meeting all
requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other
instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are
responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the
final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the
information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the
Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after
submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for
future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link 'My
applications' in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application
 should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The application will be summarily
rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Original
documents to prove qualification, experience, age, community etc. have to be produced as and
when called for.
(b) If Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of the selection, candidates shall submit a
confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time registration profile. Such
candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Tickets in the last 15 days before the
date of test. The applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated
period, will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the
availability of admission tickets will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information
in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone
number registered in it.

9. Last date for submission of applications : 29.01.2025 Wednesday upto 12 Midnight.

10. Special Instructions to candidates :

(i) In the case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in
SSLC Book, the candidate shall produce a gazette notification in this regard, along with Non-
Cremylayer /Community certificate at the time of certificate verification.

(ii) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as
Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not
submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General conditions are
liable to be rejected.

(iii) Appropriate disciplinary actions as per rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission
Rules of procedure 1976 shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with
bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc. and are liable to be disqualified
for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either
permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a
written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them if they have
already been appointed, or any one or more of the above.
