Report on National Youth Day Celebration
Date: 12th January 2025
NSS Wing of SP College, Srinagar celebrated National Youth Day 2025 with great
enthusiasm and active participation from faculty and NSS volunteers. The event was
organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose teachings
and ideals resonate deeply with the youth of our nation.
Activities Undertaken
1. Awareness Rally
A vibrant awareness rally was conducted in the morning, where over 50 volunteers
participated. The rally highlighted themes of environmental sustainability, youth
empowerment and community well-being, with students chanting slogans to inspire positive
change. The event also included the planting of 15 saplings within the college campus,
symbolizing growth, hope and the youth's role in preserving the environment.

2. Campus Cleanliness Drive
A cleanliness drive was initiated as part of the event, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness
and hygiene of the college premises. NSS volunteers enthusiastically cleaned various areas
including lawns and parks setting an example of the importance of collective effort in
achieving a clean and healthy environment.
3. Youth Parliament
A Youth Parliament was organized in the college auditorium on the theme, “Role of New
Education Policy in Youth Empowerment”. The event witnessed engaging role-plays and
debates by students representing young leaders, policymakers and citizens. Discussions
centered around critical issues such as skill development, education, employment and social
